If Inka Cosmetics is anything like Becca Cosmetics from Australia, then colour me happy! Inika, which has a tonne of buzz surrounding it recently has just expanded their distribution to London, after their logo, packaging and product formulations were given a major face lift.
Other news for the company is that they will be launching a skincare range due out next year.

Pupa Cosmetics is a division of the Italian based beauty company called Pupa that creates quirky and innovative beauty products (with a specialty for palettes and kits) for the girly girl. They also make bath and skin care products, a sun care range and fragrances. The 30 year old company is based just outside of Milan and has found that its key to success has been by communicating emotional appeal through the use of bright colours.

I first heard of M Lab about a year ago on a trip to the States. It launched in 2007 by a company called Milbar Laboratories, who for 25 years have been creating medical grade skincare products for dermatologists and plastic surgeons. The buzz surrounding the brand was that it is a high end, luxury range for mature (over 40) skin, that it wasn't suitable for sensitive skin and that it was created for men.

I hadn't heard of Illamasqua (pronounced Ihl-ah-mask-ah) until a few weeks ago, and now all I seem to hear about is its fantastic reputation. Makeup lovers and professionals both view it as a great brand with a wide scope that delivers high quality products. It's sold in Selfridges (and online) and was developed by Julien Kynaston as an "emotional" makeup line.

Relatively new to the UK (although it's been around in the US since 2003) is a makeup collection from Dianne Brill. Be warned that this is not your average range of perfume, skin care and colour. It's for someone who lusts after lingerie, fake lashes, fishnet stockings and all things girly!

Recently I was lucky enough to meet with skincare guru and expert dermatologist Dr Zein Obagi to talk about how to prevent skin ageing. Dr Obagi is often referred to as a maverick and a visionary; with a vast array of experience working with plastic surgeons, doctors and dermatologists he is undoubtedly one of the leading experts in skin health. Dr Obagi is also a charismatic lecturer and teacher, as well as having successfully corrected a wide range of skin conditions for his clients, which range from facial melasma and acne scars to deep wrinkles and unsightly age spots.
