It's Official: Miley Cyrus Has a Signature Style

So far, 2013 has been a big fashion year for a certain Miley Cyrus.

So far, 2013 has been a big fashion year for a certain Miley Cyrus. She's been photographed in Chanel, Valentino, and Balmain (pictured from left to right at a Ryan Seacrest event, the Maxim Hot 100 Party, and the Billboard Music Awards) and is well on her way to achieving that one thing every style icon has mastered: a signature look. She's recently skipped over the majority of the colour spectrum, instead gravitating toward black and white accented with a third colour by way of her red lips. It gets more specific, too: beyond loving the two-toned combo, Miley's showing a serious propensity for playsuits rather than more common red carpet dresses.

The singer's image has gotten sexier as she's moved past her Hannah Montana stage, and fashion-wise, her cropped 'do seemed to usher in a whole new era of envelope-pushing fashion. Whatever the case, we love that she's turned into a dresser to watch.

Billboard Music Awards: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is on a hot streak, with the Billboard Music Awards as her latest reason to stun in something equal parts sexy and rocker chick.

Miley Cyrus is on a hot streak, with the Billboard Music Awards as her latest reason to stun in something equal parts sexy and rocker chick. Her black-and-white Balmain jumpsuit featured an intricately woven texture and some serious all-over checkerboard print — which meant she needed only a pair of Givenchy heels and a bold red lip to finish. Perhaps it's the bleached pixie cut, being named No. 1 on Maxim's annual Hot 100 list, a little leftover inspiration from her Met Gala getup, or all of the above — either way, Miley knows how to make a red carpet statement these days. Do you agree?

Pierre Balmain

Paris fashion house Balmain just released images of its new, more affordable Pierre Balmain line, set to launch for Spring 2012. The new collection, described as more casual and downtown, is easier on the pocketbook compared to its main line, with prices ranging from around $172 to $1,291 for dresses, knitwear, leather, tees, and denim. Still not cheap by any means, but much less than the crazy $1,400 price tag on a t-shirt from the original Balmain line. The collection will be available online by the end of the year. Check out the slideshow to see more looks from the collection; will you be adding a piece to your wish list?

Emma Watson Bares One Shoulder in Balmain — Love It or Leave It?

Before tonight's big premiere, the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 star made a stop by The Late Show in a sparkly, one-shouldered Balmain mini and patent Louboutin wedges. We've seen Emma Watson play with lace, tulle, and texture as she's hit the red carpet promoting the latest Potter film, but this funkier style is a definite departure for the actress, who usually keeps things on the feminine side. Now, we want to know what you think of Emma's edgier style — does it suit the starlet or would you prefer something a little softer?

If you're into designer clothing by Balmain, then this is sure to make your peacock feathers shake with excitement! The French fashion house has launched two hair care lines called Système Volume, which contain seven products that work to create 10 percent more volume in hair. The tag line for the ads are "haute couture for hair" — don't you just love it! I know that I can't wait to check this out, and I'm sure its fashion fans such as Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, and Victoria Beckham can't either.

The products in the first range called Nutrition Intense are designed for normal hair. They include a shampoo, conditioner, masque, and protective styling spray priced between £29-£37. From the description, they smell absolutely amazing with notes of ivy, mandarin, violet, rose, orchid, blackberry musk, freesia and wood. The products in the Hydrant collection include a shampoo, ultralight conditioner, and hydration spray ranging from £29-£39. These are geared more toward fine hair and contain lotus, freesia, melon, cedar, musk , amber, peony, lily, and carnation intended to leave hair feeling soft and looking shiny without weighing it down.

All of the products are gentle, hypoallergenic, safe for extensions and help to strengthen hair that has suffered damages from the sun and heat styling. Man, talk about pampering yourself, designer hair products could become the next rage! Are you interested in trying Balmain hair care products?

Battle of Balmain: Kristen Stewart vs. Leighton Meester

Both Kristen Stewart and Leighton Meester had a glamourous rocker-chick vibe at the MTV Movie Awards. Not surprisingly, both were clad in Balmain, the French design house known for exactly that. While Kristen's look was a bit harder, thanks to the plethora of safety pins adorning her minidress, Leighton made a big statement in complete sequins. Who wore Balmain better?

Balmain is known for its crazy expensive clothes — think $1,400 t-shirts — so we were stoked to hear that the Parisian brand is set to launch a more affordable collection. Price points are still under wraps, but we do know that the collection, dubbed Pierre Balmain, will be created by a second design team and overseen by Balmain's new head designer, Olivier Rousteing. The official Spring 2012 presentation is expected to show in September, presumably during New York Fashion Week. We're excited, are you?
