New York Fashion Week is almost over, with just a few more shows to go. But while we always love admiring the beautiful collections, we get equally excited to see which stars are going to occupy the front rows and parties — and what they're going to wear for their close-ups. So far in attendance? Katie Holmes, Kata Mara, Olivia Palermo, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Kate Upton, Jessica Szohr, Maria Sharapova, Emmy Rossum, Lake Bell, Solange Knowles, Jamie Chung, Selita Ebanks, and more — all hitting their shows in major style. Head inside to get a closer look at their ensembles and to find out who else has a ticket to New York Fashion Week.
Max and Lubov Azria returned to their youthful, easy-to-wear roots with the BCBG Max Azria Spring 2014 collection. If last season was all about layers, this one was about lightening the load — an idea never more evident than with one of the show's early looks, a khaki sleeveless trench dress. Spread across a neutral palette (think lots of chambray and a continuation of the brand's love of black and white), the models showcased pops of life with snake-embossed leather skirts, watercolor floral prints, and embroidered tulle tops. Anyone can be BCBG, and this show proved just how effortless it is.
With Spring in full flow, new perfumes are spritzing their way into the market. That most Spring-like of all scents, peony features in several offerings this season, and rose is another popular floral note that's finding its way from the atomizer to my wrists. Take a look at these fresh fragrances for Spring, and tell me which is your favourite!
Fans of The City will already be aware that Allie Crandell's weight is a point of discussion. In one episode, the model meets Kelly Cutrone who asks if she's ok before pointing out that Allie is very thin. This week, photos of Allie on the Revolve website have caused some controversy as reader's complain about her size. A spokesperson for the website commented, "We are working closely with both the model and her agent to get her to a healthier size. We have been attempting to respect the privacy of the model in question while dealing with the issue on our end." I am interested to hear your thoughts on this. Should Allie be banned from ad campaigns until she puts on some weight?
