The final day of London Fashion Week included shows by upcoming names like Meadham Kirchhoff and Fashion East alongside established British brands Aquascutum and Amanda Wakeley. London Fashion Week came to a close for me with the Ashish show at Somerset House. It was a typically fun collection that was colourful and included plenty of sequins! Ashish is now a long term collaborator with Topshop, and is continuing to work with them in 2011. His latest collection, which is due to launch on 10th January, is focused on food! Every year is packed with collaborations better than the last and 2010 is no exception. Ashish provided a fun end to London Fashion Week for Spring 2011. The show was all American with plenty of cowboy hats and trucker caps to accessorise the looks. This week, bright rainbow hair colours have been everywhere, from celebrity land to the catwalk. Yesterday, on the Paris catwalks Manish Arora sent out technicolour hairstyles in blue, piercing red and yellow. Designers and celebrities have been embracing their inner school girl this past week and plaits have been everywhere! On Tuesday at the Ashish runway show, models wore long, thick plaits with streaks of colour in them.
