The Weinstein Company held a celebration of The King's Speech at Chateau Marmont last night. The film won four awards at the Oscars, including best picture, best actor (presented by Sandra Bullock), best director, and best original screenplay. Costars Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth toasted their movie's success alongside Colin's wife, Livia Giuggioli. Colin joked about his royal wedding invite getting lost in the post during his time in the press room, after he walked the red carpet with Livia and lots of dapper men. Directors Baz Luhrmann, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, and Eli Roth joined in the fun, as did writer Mark Logue and producer Gareth Unwin. Host Harvey Weinstein was joined by Georgina Chapman and Jane Seymour. Colin and Geoffrey's costar Helena Bonham Carter was absent from the pictures, but she did attend the Weinstein party the night before along with director Tom Hooper.
Elton John held his 19th Annual AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party at the Pacific Design Center last night. Inside the bash, Emma Roberts partied with Chace Crawford and Hayden Panettiere, and Elton posed with Kim Kardashian. Costars Rashida Jones and Paul Rudd walked the red carpet, as did Eric Stonestreet and Eric McCormack, while Prince, Rufus Wainwright, and Billy Zane enjoyed the do. Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, and Jenna Ushkowitz brought some Glee too.
