Erdem Spring 2012

This season, the Erdem girl had a change of heart.

This season, the Erdem girl had a change of heart. Whilst in February, she was scorned and angry, she's now a jet-setter in the mood for love. The makeup, done by Andrew Gallimore for MAC, has a sexy and girly soft focus where nothing is too defined. The face was prepped with Face and Body Foundation and a bit of concealer where needed. Cheeks were tinted with Tendertones in Hot and Saucy (a new product due out next Spring) to create a slight blush and radiance. Lips were stained, not painted, in red and then a touch of red pigment was layered gently over the top. Balm was used on the eyelids for a glossy effect and lashes were coated with Plush Lash Mascara in Plush Black.

Hair, was created to "look like she belongs in the South of France where the women are chic, architectural, mature, and womanly" said Charles Worthington. He pulled it into a midlength ponytail and sprayed it at the root for lift and then tonged the lengths with a thick barrel, as not to make it look too done or pageant like.

Skin was also paid special attention at this show. St Tropez was there to add a whisper of colour to the body before rubbing on a light blue illuminator. This brand new product still does not have a name; however, it won't be called Smurfette, despite all the backstage jokes. When it's applied, skin catches light in the most magnificent way without appearing grey or dull. Check out my photos below. and let me know what you think of the beauty style at Erdem.

One of the biggest stories in British fashion in 2009 was London celebrating 25 years as a fashion capital.
Photos from London Fashion Week's 25th Anniversary

One of the biggest stories in British fashion in 2009 was London celebrating 25 years as a fashion capital. The week has faced a lot of pressure in recent years as it lost some its biggest names and New York threatened to overlap with it. Fortunately, some of the biggest names in the industry, like Erin O'Connor and Naomi Campbell, came together with Sarah Brown and Boris Johnson to help rescue it. The 25th Anniversary was an exciting week that had BellaSugar UK and I running all over the capital to bring you all the gossip. Here is a quick photo round-up of some of the key moments.

Exclusive! Leigh Lezark Dishes On Her Must Have Products!

The Spring 2010 Twenty8Twelve Fashion show was so much fun.

The Spring 2010 Twenty8Twelve Fashion show was so much fun. Not only were the clothes amazing, but I was able to speak to Alexa Chung about her beauty secrets right after she and FabSugar UK talked fashion. And as if that's not enough, we also got to see Anna Wintour in the front row! But just you wait, because it gets even better. After the show, I even snagged a few seconds with DJ Leigh Lezark where we gabbed about her beauty product must-haves. To my surprise, the beautiful brunette was even more stunning up close and personal.

Her blue eyes were piercingly bright, outlined in heavy black liner and her hair was smooth, straight and perfectly in place. Here's the lowdown on what we talked about:

  • What's the one beaut product you can't live without? I'm obsessed with Charles Worthington Dream Hair Shine Finishing Spray . I love what it does to my hair.
  • What's your best kept beauty secret? I guess getting plenty of sleep and drinking lots and lots of water to stay hydrated.
  • What's your favourite beauty brand? Chanel. Definitely Chanel.

I love a girl that mixes high street with designer! What do you think of Leigh's beauty picks?

Paul Costelloe has been opening London Fashion Week for six seasons and Spring 2010 was no exception.

Paul Costelloe has been opening London Fashion Week for six seasons and Spring 2010 was no exception. He began proceedings with an architectural inspired collection with futuristic shapes. After the show, BellaSugar UK and I went backstage to catch up with the man himself where it was a very family affair! At least three of Paul's six sons were proudly chatting backstage whilst their father charmed the press.

Abbey Lee Kershaw

There have been plenty of fabulous faces gracing the catwalks in New York, London and Milan over the past month, but a couple of girls have particularly stood out.

Last week, BellaSugar UK and I managed to catch up with style icon Alexa Chung at the Spring 2010 Twenty8Twelve show.

Last week, BellaSugar UK and I managed to catch up with style icon Alexa Chung at the Spring 2010 Twenty8Twelve show. Yesterday, her beauty secrets were revealed and now here is her quick chat with me about her favourite shows, her plans for the week and her Mulberry bag.

When we met she was wearing a The Smiths t-shirt and a silver jacquard mini skirt showing off her enviable pins. She sat in the front row next to Anna Wintour spurring rumours of a possible Vogue US appearance for the MTV presenter. Despite living in New York, she came to London for fashion week and attended many shows including Luella, Charles Anastase and Burberry Prorsum.
