Are You Influenced By Beauty Looks From the Red Carpet?

Last night in New York, Whitney Port attended a benefit for Cancer sponsored by Guess by Marciano and ELLE Magazine wearing a black Alice band in her hair and red lipstick, a look we don't typically see on her. That's why I can't help but think that she's likely gotten her beauty influence from none other than Mad Men screen siren January Jones at this year's Golden Globe Awards. I love this look and find it elegant and dressy. Paired with their beautiful eyes and milky glowing skin, I think both girls have pulled off this style quite nicely. Do you ever mimic red carpet beauty looks that you see on celebrities?

Who Wore Marchesa Better?

Marchesa has long been a red carpet staple.

Marchesa has long been a red carpet staple. The British design house creates classic, floor sweeping gowns which are adored by celebrities. Recently, several gorgeous girls have worn Georgina Chapman's designs on the red carpet including Kate Hudson and Anna Kendrick at the Golden Globe awards. Also, late last year Fergie wore a one shoulder Marchesa dress to the New York premiere of Nine. Out of these three, who do you think wore Marchesa best?

Livia Firth Wants a Greener Carpet

Whilst most of us are just getting to grips with eco fashion and giving ourselves a pat on the back for choosing second hand rather than High Street, Livia Firth is upping the stakes.

Whilst most of us are just getting to grips with eco fashion and giving ourselves a pat on the back for choosing second hand rather than High Street, Livia Firth is upping the stakes. The wife of Colin made an impressive statement on the red carpet at the Golden Globes as she wore not just an eco friendly gown, but a "re-purposed" wedding dress.

Livia runs an environmentally friendly boutique, Eco Age in West London and explained all about her gown on her Vogue blog, "The re-purposed Christiana Couture wedding dress was a HUGE success in the sense that I don't think I’ve ever had so many compliments for a dress in one night." Her eco stance has now landed her the role of reporting on the carbon footprint of dresses throughout award season.

It seems like celebrities better choose their dresses very carefully in 2010 or risk being named and shamed. Are you impressed by Livia's efforts to help the environment yet remaining chic?

Celeb Parties Continue into the Night After the Golden Globes

Following the Golden Globe Awards last night, there were some huge parties to celebrate where some celebs that attended the ceremony — and some that didn't — showed up to party the night away. While Taylor Lautner was at the ceremony, he hung out with Glee's Matthew Morrison and was joined at an afterparty by his New Moon costars Ashley Green and Kellan Lutz. Lindsay Lohan showed up in a sparkling minidress with a hood, while Ashley Olsen wore a bright blue dress to party with Justin Bartha.

Gossip Girl stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr were in a rush to get into the party, while Chloe Sevigny changed out of her ceremony dress — which ripped while she was onstage collecting her award! Drew Barrymore and Justin Long partied together, and Sandra Bullock greeted Jaime Pressley with a similar kiss to the one she greeted Meryl Streep with at the Critics Choice Awards!

Whose Half Up Half Down Hair Do You Like Most?

Although, the most prevalent hairstyle at the Golden Globes was the updo, I loved the way that Paula Patton, Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Garner wore their hair too.

Although, the most prevalent hairstyle at the Golden Globes was the updo, I loved the way that Paula Patton, Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Garner wore their hair too. This Old Hollywood, retro-curled, half up, half down look is classic, elegant and stylish. Plus, if you're a fan of the jewels, it also allows you to adorn your hair in diamond clips, or whatever else you fancy. Out of these three actresses, whose hair do you think looked best last night?

2010 Golden Globes: Kate Winslet

Last year, award season was packed with Kate Winslet love.

Last year, award season was packed with Kate Winslet love. She won so many awards and looked incredibly stylish as she did it. Move forward to 2010, as Kate is presenting rather than receiving and still looks gorgeous this time in Yves Saint Laurent. She was there to deliver the Best Actor award to Jeff Bridges and she did so in a midnight blue gown with an embroidered clutch and platform sandals. What do you think of her look?

There were lots of hot guys on the red carpet at the Golden Globes last night, looking all suited and booted for the formal occasion.

There were lots of hot guys on the red carpet at the Golden Globes last night, looking all suited and booted for the formal occasion. Gerard Butler, Taylor Lautner and Matthew Morrison were among those rocking the bow ties last night, while Chace Crawford wore a skinny tie with his suit. Robert Downey Jr went without a tie, while Cory Monteith wore a white one with his shiny Hugo Boss suit.

Gorgeous George Clooney was still rocking his beard, as was Jon Hamm. The Brits were represented by Hugh Laurie, Colin Firth, Kenneth Branagh and the host with the most Ricky Gervais. Lots of guys were on umbrella duty for their ladies, including Joshua Jackson, Josh Duhamel, Nick Cannon and David Arquette who seemed to get in trouble with wife Courteney!

As well as neutral shades, there was a lot of purple on the red carpet at last night's Golden Globes. Gorgeous Gowns Despite the Grey Day at the Golden Globes

It may have been raining on the Golden Globes red carpet last night, but that didn't stop all the female stars showing up in some gorgeous gowns.

It may have been raining on the Golden Globes red carpet last night, but that didn't stop all the female stars showing up in some gorgeous gowns. There were plenty of bright colours as Sandra Bullock and Leona Lewis went for purple, Diane Kruger wore a beautiful hot pink number, Cameron Diaz looked ravishing in red, while Ginnifer Goodwin looked striking in purple. Greys and nude tones were also popular, with Anna Kendrick, Drew Barrymore, Chloe Sevigny among those sporting pale shades.

Anything but basic black was, as usual, a big hit — Glee's Lea Michele wore an eye-catching dress, Glenn Close sparkled in black, Julia Roberts went for a more casual look, while January Jones matched hers to her headband. Carey Mulligan was accompanied by her mum on the red carpet, while Joshua Jackson was a gent and held an umbrella up for Diane as she posed for photos. Drew Barrymore and Justin Long shared a smooch, before she greeted George Clooney with a hug. Meanwhile, Heidi Klum and Seal looked to the heavens — the must have accessory was definitely an umbrella on the red carpet last night!
