Paris Fashion Week came to a close on Thursday, and some key trends have already begun to emerge from the fashionable cities. In New York, London and Milan I noticed a lot of the catwalk looks were styled with socks and shoes. We have seen this style begin to emerge over the Summer when both Fearne Cotton and Chloe Sevigny rocked socks and sandals.

There have been plenty of fabulous faces gracing the catwalks in New York, London and Milan over the past month, but a couple of girls have particularly stood out. Australian born Abbey Lee Kershaw has been an integral part of presentations for some of the biggest names in the industry including Ralph Lauren, Burberry Prorsum and Gucci. I wonder if she is taking Jourdan Dunn's runway place whilst she is tied up with other things!

The big names continue to roll out their collections in Milan this week as Frida Giannini takes her latest Gucci line to the catwalk. The pieces were classic Gucci with tight body con dresses, thigh skimming hemlines and cut out detailing. Frida opted for the colour palette of the season mainly drawing from pale shades.

The Spring 2010 shows continued over the weekend in Milan as Karl Lagerfeld presented pieces for Fendi. There were plenty of nudes and pastel shades in this collection as Fendi got distinctly feminine. They were shaped in to soft pleats and drapes in luxurious fabrics like silk and tulle.

The international fashion weeks kick off very soon as New York plays host to Spring 2010 shows from 10th September. London will quickly follow suit as the 25th celebrations kick off across the capital, and there might be more than just fashion shows to look forward to.
In September, Yves Saint Laurent will release the fifth edition of the company's manifesto at key fashion capitals around the globe.

There is some very exciting news this morning if you're a fan of London Fashion Week. Burberry Prorsum have just announced plans to bring the label home for the Spring 2010 shows in September! The British brand normally shows in Milan, but as London celebrates 25 years as a fashion capital they have decided to show the next collection in the British capital.
