Last weekend saw Reading and Leeds drawing the festival season to a close. It's been a fun Summer from the Isle of Wight festival to Glastonbury, to T4 on the Beach we've seen a variety of acts take to the stage up and down the country. Glastonbury festival is over for another year so as mud soaked campers return to their warm dry homes, lets look back at some of the best on stage ensembles from some stylish musical ladies. Here are some of the best looks from the weekend from gorgeous girls from both sides of the Atlantic.
Wow, singer Lily Allen sure has gotten adventurous with her wig selection during Glastonbury. First we saw her wearing a platinum wig backstage and in the fields channeling Michelle Pfeiffer in a Scarface-inspired style. Then, just before she went on stage she changed into a bright pinky-purple coloured wig that reminded me of something Lady Gaga might wear. I think it's fun and certainly festive for this type of event. Which wig do you like the best on Lily?
Here is the final round up of behind the scenes looks at Glastonbury. As Blur took to the stage for their headline set, the likes of VV Brown, Lizzie Jagger, Sophie Dahl and Florence Welch hung around backstage soaking up the unusual Glastonbury sunshine. Unless you've been out of the country for the past month or so, you'll know that the Glastonbury festival took place this weekend at Worthy Farm in Somerset. As well as many bands, a lot of stylish people descended on the festival to enjoy the sunshine and live performances. I have already asked you about the best dressed of day one and day two, but I have also noticed a growing trend as many ladies opt for very stylish footwear. Jimmy Choo for Hunter was unveiled in January this year, but have now been snapped up by Jo Whiley, Pixie Geldof and Naomi Campbell amongst others. What do you think of this collaboration?
Glastonbury festival is now over for another year, but this years was not short on celebrity support. Most of you thought Daisy Lowe's outfit was the best from day one so I wonder who you'll prefer out of this selection. Lily Allen and Little Boots both performed on Friday night with Lily taking to the stage in funky wigs whilst Little Boots wore a House of Holland pantone ensemble. They both wore sparkly outfits off stage as they chilled out in the sunshine. Jaime Winstone and Nicola Roberts partied backstage showing off their own unique style. Glastonbury has officially begun today as bands begin to perform to mud soaked campers. Michael Jackson's death has had an impact on the festival as many bands are expected to pay tribute over the weekend. Gabriella Cilmi did just that this afternoon as she slipped lyrics of Beat It in to her own song. Other stylish ladies who have arrived already at Worthy Farm include Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and Peaches Geldof. Who do you think is the best dressed?
Topshop today announced their first musical collaboration as the High Street store has produced several stage outfits for singer Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. The stylish lady is performing in Manchester on Friday night supporting Blur before heading to the Glastonbury festival.
Topshop have created three key ensembles for her which include a delicate black tulle cape, a tailored bodice and cage heels with black and gold rose applique. Florence often wears dramatic stage oufits with long batwing sleeves and capes, but it will be great to see what Topshop creates.
