Beauty Must Haves For June
I hope you're getting excited, because there are only 20 more days until the official launch of Summer. However, with the all of the lovely UK weather we've been having, it's worth starting to protect, prepare and primp your skin now for the sun. Here are six of my top picks for this season's 'it' items!
Trend Alert: Union Jack Bag
The cool Britannia trend just keeps on going this Spring as the British flag adorns everything, including handbags. It's a great fun style and can be done very cheaply.

River Island Handbags Spring 2009
This Spring there is lots of lovely arm candy on offer at River Island. The store has really upped their game recently, particularly with accessories and shoes where the items are some of the best on the High Street. Here are some of my favourite handbags on offer for the Summer months which are sure to make you stand out from the crowd.
Trend Alert: Bright Playsuits
If you're heading to a party this Summer, a playsuit is a fun alternative to a dress. They're funky, on trend, easy to wear and right now, there happens to be plenty of bright coloured options available!
This hot pink version (£260) by Adam would look great with bronzed skin, flats or even a funky pair of gladiator sandals.

The French have got it all. They have great wine, good food, haute couture, art and above all – bags of style! Knowing this, it's hardly surprising that the printed t-shirt is this Summer paying hommage to the country.
Illamasqua's New Spring/Summer Sirens Collection is Here!
A few months ago I told you about a new brand in the UK called Illamasqua that I've totally fallen in love with. The pigments are the richest I've ever encountered, the assortment of jaw-dropping colours rival MAC (no, I'm not kidding) and the textures are so creamy, velvety and luxurious that time stands still when you're at the counter. Can't you just feel my excitement!
On Our Radar: Giles for New Look
There have been a lot of designer/High Street collaborations in the past few weeks so I'll forgive you if you're not completely up to date with this one.
Giles Deacon has been creating a diffusion line for New Look for a couple of seasons and its always of a very high quality. This Spring is no exception as the pieces are a bit more grown up and the fabrics are a bit classier, yet still offered at a bargain price.

We're in the thick of Spring and it's finally nice to see the weather match the season! Flowers are beginning to bloom, trees are greener and the sun is shining. It's important to take care of your skin with products that will hydrate and balance so when you change your makeup from your dreary winter browns, greys and greens, your face will look as bright as your new palettes.
Behind the Seams: Matthew Williamson for H&M Launch
Matthew Williamson's collection for H&M finally launched across the world this morning as his boho designs and peacock colour palette became available to the masses. The launch took place last night in London and Matthew didn't struggle for A-list support. The Manchester-born designer was joined by Sienna Miller, Mischa Barton, Jaime Winstone, Jade Parfitt and Pixie Geldof to name a few!
Trend Alert: Denim Jacket
So you've got a good selection of jeans, denim leggings and a retro shirt, and now here is another denim product to add to the collection; the denim jacket. This vintage item has experienced a revival of late as celebs such as Rihanna and Chloe Sevigny have been rocking the look.
It is best to get a jacket that looks really worn to avoid looking too neat so either check out a few vintage shops or opt for a distressed style.
