Paris Fashion Week closed with a bang on Thursday with presentations by Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu. The younger sister of Prada seemed to come of age this season with an exotic themed collection. There was a very glamorous feel to the Autumn line with sleek silhouettes, pencil skirts and sparkly embellishment.

Model and Mum Milla Jovovich has had a busy week in Paris. She has attended enough shows to tire even the biggest fashion editors and has had a killer wardrobe throughout. She was one of the best dressed at Dior where she sat alongside Charlize Theron and Eva Green and was also spotted front row at Chanel, Nina Ricci, YSL and John Galliano.

These days, low-key, barely there makeup typically consists of polished brows, dewy skin and some type of gentle flush on your cheeks. Hannah Macgibbon took Chloe back to it's classic roots for Autumn 2009 picking up where Phoebe Philo left off. This was her second collection for the French design house which has been a bit rocky over the past few seasons with many changes at the top. There was plenty of soft tailoring on show with oversized boyfriend blazers, and baggy trousers.

Typically, the fashion shows in Paris are the most outrageous and extravagant, however, this year I think it's safe to say that New York, London and Milan have given them run for their money. Whilst many designers are playing it safe this year in order to remain commercial, but you can rely on Alexander McQueen to go to the other extreme and bring a bit of drama to Paris. He deliberately defied the credit crunch explaining to WWD, “This [economic] crisis isn’t my fault. I have to be who I am.

Chanel is always the collection I look forward to. I'm intrigued as to how Karl Lagerfeld will once again interpret trends in a very classic, chic way. This season he was inspired by Beau Brummell, who is widely credited with inventing the modern man's suit.

Stella McCartney is famous for her tailoring and her laid-back cool approach to fashion. This season was no exception as she presented her Autumn line in Paris yesterday to a star-studded front row. One of the best thing about Stella's designs is that they're wearable, sexy but yet still comfortable which was shown through slinky bubble mini dresses.

Roberto Cavalli has had a rocky start to 2009 with his Just Cavalli show being pulled from Milan Fashion Week. However, it's great to see him with a smile on his face again as he opened a new boutique in Paris with a little help from his celebrity friends. Milla Jovovich, who has been a front row fixture, partied in a white Spring '09 Cavalli dress and killer heels.

Paris Fashion Week continued over the weekend with shows from some of the biggest players in fashion from Christian Dior, to Lanvin to Vivienne Westwood.
