Alesha Dixon was one of the best dressed on the Brit Awards red carpet last night. She managed to get the right balance between glamour and rock chick, not least with a sequined blazer and star neck tie. The latter, which slightly resembles a ribbon rosette was created by Danish designer Kamilla Antonio.

Call me crazy, but I'd have thought that you guys would be gone gaga over a more outrageous beauty look from last night's Brit Awards. However, 73 per cent of you loved TV personality Fearne Cotton's makeup and thought she looked pretty, polished and classy. As I'm one to typically err on the side of caution myself, I'd agree that Fearne's skin and eyes look particularly beautiful here.

Winged eyeliner isn't just for Amy Winehouse anymore! At last night's 2009 Brit Awards, the most popular makeup looks from the leading ladies were smoky eyes, long, lush lashes and bat-wings. Alexa Chung had the most dramatic liner, Alesha Dixon had the most colourful, whilst Sara Cox and Gabriella Climi opted for a classic, extended line.

Many lovely ladies on the red carpet last night indulged in this season's positive colour palette, or more specifically various shades of blue. From Alexandra's eye catching body con dress to Alexa's sparkly number they brightened up the red carpet and brought a touch of glam rock. Little Boots' Alexander McQueen dress also added an edgy feel to the event whilst Fearne opted for a more tailored ensemble.

Girls Aloud managed to co-ordinate their outfits for the awards without looking too matchy-matchy. They all went for a pale colour palette, but injected their own take on the look resulting in five very different styles. Sarah, Nadine and Cheryl revealed a bit of leg with short dresses whilst Kimberly and Nicola went for floor sweeping gowns.

Oh what a night! There have been so many well dressed ladies on the red carpet this evening that I've struggled to chose just five for my best dressed poll. You've been voting all evening on the looks but now it's time to choose your favourite.

Florence is attending her first Brit Awards today and she already has an award under her belt. Tonight she went for the on-trend, yet notoriously difficult to pull off jumpsuit. The silk texture with detailed ruffled shoulders is pretty, but I'm not all that fond of the risqué mustard colour.

I adore Natalie Imbruglia's dimples. It somehow makes her striking jaw structure and piercing blue eyes softer and more approachable. I'm used to Natalie's hair with a short cut, but this bobbed fringe is also quite becoming.

The fifth and final member of Girls Aloud to waltz down the red carpet is Kimberly Walsh. She looked stunning in a low-plunging bejeweled white dress with her long, luxe, caramel hair extensions hanging loosely, and her vampy winged eyeliner and bronzed cheeks looking more Hollywood than London. What do you think of tonight's beauty look?
