Fashion seems to have a new hip-hop fan base with Kanye West being a regular at shows and now producer Jermain Dupri has been keeping a youtube diary! This video was taken by Dupri and his partner in crime Janet Jackson as they admire Gaultier's wonderful creations.

Haute Couture Fall '08: Givenchy

The credit crunch seems to be taking hold of every aspect at the moment and now is the turn of Haute Couture. The current financial climate has had an impact on the catwalks of Paris where designers are creating much more wearable lines. Yesterday, Italian designer Riccardo Tisci presented his collection for Givenchy.

The pieces played with dimension producing a new, angular silhouette. Like the Dior show it nodded at key trends for next year including lace, mixed texture and draped fabric.

The colour palette was limited using dark shades and white. Volume was introduced through draped fabric, padding and flared boots. See below for images of the collection.

Haute Couture Fall '08: Dior

It's couture season in Paris as Lanvin opens the week with a party. The first day included a John Galliano for Dior show with celebrity support from Claudia Schiffer and Eva Mendes. Galliano showed his Spring couture line for Dior presenting a typically dramatic collection.

The pieces created a strong, architectural silhouette with towering diamante heels and oversized costume jewellery. There were plenty of hints towards next seasons key trends including sheer, tiny belted waists and Victorian style skirts.

The colour palette was varied from cream pieces (including this ruffle skirt dress) to animal print. See below for images from the show.
