Today we continue our look at the best pieces for the new season as we ask Net-a-Porter to pick their top 5 items for achieving new season trends. Firstly, to mark the return of wide leg trousers they've chosen this classic pair of wide leg trousers by Chloe (£370). They're very flattering, especially with a slim fit top and heels.

Statement jewellery is always important which is why they've chosen these gorgeous Alexander McQueen earrings (£510). They'd look great with this Stella McCartney LBD (£915). The ruffle trim on this dress gives it a slight twist on a classic LBD but it's still just as chic.

As avid Fab readers are probably already aware, I'm slightly obsessed with handbags so I am particularly excited by this Chloe Cyndi leather tote (£1030) which is available exclusively at net-a-porter.

The final net-a-porter choice for Autumn are these amazing Marni Open toe boots (£495). They're unpractical but also completely gorgeous and so on-trend for Autumn. They were shown on the catwalk at Marni and look great with a dress and tights.

Exclusive Elle Pick Their Autumn Winter Fashion Must Haves

Today, we've asked another fashion industry insider to pick their top Autumn buys. This time we've asked Elle UK's online Fashion, News and Star Style Editor Laurelle Gilbert to pick her five must-have Autumn items. Working for one of the world's leading fashion magazines means that she knows a thing or two about fashion so here, exclusively for Fab UK are her top 5 items.

First up is a gothic blouse by Vanessa Bruno (£105) with sheer panel detail. It's a great piece to team with tailored trousers which leads us nicely on to Laurelle's second choice!

These cropped tailored trousers (£85) are part of the new Whistles range under the careful guidance of Jane Shepherdson. This is definitely the most talked about High Street store this season and tailored trousers are a great investment piece.

Texture is a key trend this season but knowing how to integrate it isn't always easy. This Mongolian sheepskin gilet (£295) by Joseph is perfect for not just adding texture but also for keeping warm! The amazing platform pumps are by Miu Miu as they again impress with sculpted heels.

And finally, an outfit is not complete without the correct jewellery and this season it's all about statement rings. I featured one by Roberto Cavalli in my August must haves and now Laurelle has picked this gorgeous stone and silver piece (£90) by YSL.

Exclusive My-Wardrobe Pick Their Autumn Winter Fashion Buys

In the run up to Autumn we're asking the top beauty and fashion editors, bloggers, buyers, makeup and hair artists, stylists and industry experts to share with us their new season tips.

Today we caught up with My-wardrobe.com buyer Joanne Watkinson to find out what she recommends for the colder months.

First up the all important it-bag. Joanne recommends Anya Hindmarch's Perry, "This season texture is a key feature, and the mix of cord and leather in this bag is a perfect combination." She also loves the D&G Dolce&Gabbana Lily bag in black (£695). "The Lily bag is still a baby, entering into its 2nd season and creating quite a stir, the multi zip fastening being its piece de resistance."

Joanne explains her next pick, "What is Burberry better known for than its trench coats? The leather version from its cool offspring Thomas Burberry needs no introduction or explanation, designed under the watchful eye of Christopher Bailey, using inspiration from both mainline and archive pieces is a must-have."

She has also been impressed by the Ossie Clark revival and picks the navy silk blouse (£250) in particular. "The ruffle blouse combines beautifully the flamboyant charm of Ossie with the luxury of silk into a sophisticated coveted piece, which will never date."

Moving on to the cream pintuck sleeve blouse By Malene Birger. "The cut of the blouse is so elegant, the sleeves are just stunning, it’s very reminiscent of a Chanel Blouse. I’ve already planned my whole outfit around this piece, Vintage black high-waisted calf length panelled skirt, hair in a loose chignon and a string of pearls...Tres chic."

Last but by no means least is the Twenty8Twelve leather biker jacket. "This jacket ticks all the right boxes without even breaking a sweat. It's leather, cropped, has exposed zips, and its comes in 2 colours, black and blood red, I say no more."

Next season’s beauty trends are all about drama. Start with dark berry lips (read blood-stained) for that true soft goth vibe.

Chanel has just launched the Fantastic Plum shade, (£17.50). Apply the colour to the centre of the lips and then blend for a softer look. Next, aim for rich, rust-toned eyes. I love MAC's pigment in Mega Rich, (£15).

Work the theatrical trend with look-at-me lashes. Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes mascara, (£17.50), reinvents the way you apply – you need to hold the mascara at a vertical angle and brush each lash for mega root lift.

Alternatively, if you want exaggerated impact, then Shu Uemura’s lace lashes, (£50), will do the trick nicely.

And to top the look off? Pack away those bright nail polishes, this autumn nails are dark and dramatic, from deep purple hues to granite shades, I love YSL polish, (£15), in Rich Coffee. Just remember to keep your nails short if you’re going to rock autumn’s tougher shades.
