Last night the British Fashion Awards took place in London. Luella Bartley was the big winner as she was awarded British designer of the year but Jourdan Dunn also had a good night taking home model of the year. British Fashion Awards 2008: The Winners
This evening the British Fashion Awards took place at Lawrence Hall, in Westminster hosted by journalist Mariella Frostup. The awards supported by the British Fashion Council and sponsored by Swarovski celebrated the biggest names in British fashion from designers to models.
The nominees were revealed back in August but you guys predicted correctly that Luella Bartley was the big winner.

Back in August the date for the British Fashion Awards was revealed to be towards the end of November. We predicted some of the possible nominees and many of you thought that Luella should be British Designer of the Year.
Today the actual nominees for the 2008 awards were revealed.
Who Will Win British Designer of the Year?
This week the date was confirmed for the British Fashion Council 2008 British Fashion Awards as 25th November. The awards will take place at Lawrence Hall in London's Westminster. Last year Stella McCartney took home British Designer of the Year and we're wondering who might steal her crown this season.

Best of 2008: Model of the Year
At this year's British Fashion Awards the BFC presented Jourdan Dunn with the model of the year prize. She has had a very busy year and has spoken out about the lack of black models in fashion. However, she isn't the only model to have clocked a fair few catwalk miles in 2008, it has also been a good few seasons for Daisy, Agyness, Lily, Rosie and Natalia!

What a year it has been for Luella Bartley! Her Autumn 2008 collection was one of my favourite this year and included gorgeous folklore dresses, checked skirts and peasant blouses.
Luella was awarded British Designer of the Year for 2008 and her collection has been adored by celebrities and fashion press alike.
Fab Flash: Fashion Forward Winners Announced
On Friday the British Fashion Council announced the 2008 winners of Fashion Forward. This year's sponsored designers are Christopher Kane, Erdem, Marios Schwab and Roksanda Ilincic.
The award provides financial support to UK based designers who are showing at London Fashion Week.
