This year, Hollywood's leading ladies took the industry by storm. Some of our favorite moments came from huge stars like Jennifer Aniston, Kate Middleton, and Beyoncé Knowles. We'll never forget the incredible and brave op-ed Angelina Jolie wrote for the New York Times, while Kerry Washington swept us off our feet with memorable performances, and Jennifer Lawrence showed us a different side of celebrity with her candid attitude and unguarded behavior. See who else we've got on our list below, and don't forget to cast your vote!
We got another glimpse of Jennifer Aniston's recent haircut in a fun new photo shared by her stylist, Chris McMillan. In the Instagram snap, taken at Chris's salon, Jennifer is all smiles while showing off her freshly styled bob. We first got news of Jen's drastic cut last week during an interview with POPSUGAR Beauty, and the actress debuted the short style as she headed to an appointment in LA days later. About the chop, Jen told us that she "was just ready for a change," adding, "I was ready for something new, to get it out of my face, so I could have a bit of an easier go at it."
In addition to cutting about six inches off her famous locks, Jen also got a new, slightly permanent accessory — she and makeup artist Gucci Westman decided to get their ears pierced together just hours before her new chop.
You read that right! Our very own 2013 Beauty Icon Award winner, Jennifer Aniston, had her signature long layers chopped off last week by longtime friend and stylist, Chris McMillan. When she's not on the red carpet or making appearances, her hair is "usually up in a scrunchie of some sort," Jennifer told us with a laugh. "Chris just chopped it all off, so now it's just sort of there. It’s short! It’s at my jawline and a little shorter in the back. It's just choppy, like a choppy bob, I guess you could say."
Jennifer may have made the "Rachel" the must-have cut of the '90s, but her classic long layers of more recent years have also been a highly coveted style. "I was just ready for a change," she told us of her new cut. "I was ready for something new, to get it out of my face, so I could have a bit of an easier go at it." No matter how she styles her hair, we're sure this will become a new It cut for the beauty icon. See the exclusive pictures here!

The Toronto International Film Festival has come to an end, and we've been lucky to see some of the biggest names in film filter in through the Canadian city. Jennifer Aniston paired up with her costars Tim Robbins and Will Forte for a cocktail party in celebration of their film, Life of Crime, and Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney gave My Best Friend's Wedding fans a thrill when they reunited at the premiere of their new movie, August: Osage County. Reese Witherspoon made a quick trip to Toronto to debut her film Devil's Knot, and Mila Kunis showed skin in a white dress for the Third Person premiere at the festival.
Plenty more stars made the trek north like Scarlett Johansson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who had fun celebrating their film, Don Jon, and Marion Cotillard, who looked glamorous to premiere her film Blood Ties. Jennifer Garner linked up with Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto to debut Dallas Buyers Club, and Chris Hemsworth was flanked by his brothers, Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth, for Rush's debut. Sandra Bullock also popped up in Toronto to promote her film Gravity during the festivities. Plenty more famous faces popped up in Canada for the festival, including Labor Day stars Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin; Keira Knightley for her latest project, Can a Song Save Your Life?; and 12 Years a Slave stars Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, and Benedict Cumberbatch. The fun has come to an end until next year, so click through to see all of the stars at the 2013 TIFF!
Jennifer Aniston is known for her signature long, sleek layers, but lately she's been taking more risks with her hairstyles. Already this week, she wowed us with her bedhead look in London (upper right), and just last night at the German premiere of We're the Millers (left), she wore a sideswept style that played on the undercut trend. This isn't the first time she's tried a variation of the extreme side part. Earlier this Summer, Jennifer rocked a plaited faux undercut (lower right) at the Guys Choice Awards. We may be biased, but whatever Jennifer and her longtime stylist, Chris McMillan, are up to, we like it!
On the heels of her surprising choice for last night's We're the Millers red carpet, Jennifer Aniston went back to her signature black — in Alexander McQueen — for the film's premiere in Germany today.
Jen has the ability to rock a signature hairstyle with ease — who could forget The Rachel? — so when it comes to her red carpet fashions, it's no surprise that Aniston remains true to one hue: classic black. Over the years, we have spotted the actress donning raven-hued creations in a number of silhouettes, from sophisticated gowns to slinky minis, and though we enjoy a little editorial spice now and then, we applaud the A-lister for staying faithful to her signature style.
In honour of Jennifer's latest release, We're the Millers, we are taking a look back at her decade-long love affair with the classic. It's clear the feeling is mutual.
Jennifer Aniston donned a short black Alexander McQueen dress and high black pumps to take on the red carpet for her Berlin premiere of We're the Millers today. She posed with her costars, Will Poulter and Rawson Marshall Thurber, for the German debut, though her other We're the Millers costars, Jason Sudeikis and Emma Roberts, were missing from the action. Although he didn't make it to Berlin, Jason joined a Dior-clad Jen on the blue carpet for the UK premiere of the flick in London last night. Jen has kept a packed schedule since she jetted overseas on Monday after reportedly rearranging her travel plans to avoid an airplane encounter with Angelina Jolie, who was apparently scheduled on Jen's original flight to London.
Usually we can count on Jennifer Aniston for the sleekest humidity-resistant hairstyles, but she went for a more windblown look at the We're the Millers premiere in London. Her long and layered hair was plump with volume, and the tousled waves gave her style a piece-y effect. It seems Jennifer isn't afraid to try new things as of late; even her dress, a floral Dior, was an unexpected addition to her red carpet look.
In fact, the actress recently admitted she would rather shave her head than go back to her Rachel days. While that move might be a bit extreme, what do you think of Jennifer's latest departure from her signature style?
Jennifer Aniston took her floral Christian Dior dress on the town after walking the red carpet for the London premiere of We're the Millers on Wednesday. She added a leather jacket to the ensemble and headed to dinner at the Wahaca restaurant. Jen's travel overseas was rumored to be rife with a possibly awkward run in, but once she got there she was all smiles with her costar Jason Sudeikis at their London screening. Jennifer threw fiancé Justin Theroux a star-studded birthday party in LA over the weekend and was spotted showing off her enormous engagement ring at LAX as she jetted off on this adventure. Her flight could have been an uncomfortable one, apparently, since an airline source revealed that Jen was scheduled to be on the same flight as Angelina Jolie. Jennifer ended up changing her departure time, though no real word on whether Angelina was the reason. Either way Jennifer is certainly sick of the rumor mill — she did call out reporters for asking about wedding and any pregnancy plans so frequently.
