Cabs? Yes, sometimes. At dinner? Of course. But how often do you tip hair stylists and beauty therapists? Would you still tip if you'd been on the receiving end of a bad job?
I have friends who regularly tip anything up to £15 for a cut and blow dry, whereas others just don't think to tip their pedicurists or waxing therapists.
With prices for hair and beauty treatments much higher in the UK than anywhere else, can you even afford to tip?

The only beauty treatment I treat myself with is going to the hairdresser - and I always tip. Not £15 though!
1I tip my hair stylist about 15%. Basically the same thing I would do at a restaurant (as long as the waiter wasn't crappy). I don't know if that's the standard but it's what I do!
2ummm.. You should always tip.. if you don't you are just cheap. I tip 30% to 50% when I get my hair done. Anyone who is doing a personal service for you like that deserves a good tip.
