It has just been announced that Emma Watson is adding another string to her bow as she prepares to team up with Alberta Ferretti. Emma already creates a line for People Tree which has been very popular, but this one looks set to be slightly more high end.

She spoke about the collaboration explaining, "We are doing an organic clothing range. I can't reveal the name yet but there will be more information about it soon. [It's] very classic, very Sixties Jane Birkin."

Emma has gained a lot of attention for her red carpet looks. Just last week, she was promoting Harry Potter in both Vionnet and a reworked vintage number. She has clearly attracted Alberta Ferretti as a fan along the way!

Emma commented in US Magazine, "She wrote to me and said, 'I saw what you did with People Tree and I think it's a great idea and will you do something with me? I will put it out there that I will work for anyone for free if they are prepared to make their clothing fair trade organic." The pieces are set to be on sale next year. Last week, there were rumours that Google was venturing in to fashion, and today it has been confirmed. The search engine is set to launch virtual designer boutiques on Wednesday offering consumers an exciting new way to shop online. The new site will also allow users to create their own shops stocking brands that they love. Google have reportedly got Sarah Jessica Parker on board as she sets up her own personalised shop and are in talks with Katie Holmes. The new venture is yet to have an official name, but is currently being dubbed Boutique.com.

It sounds like a great idea and makes sense for more bonds to form between the world of technology and fashion. However, since I'm already addicted to ShopStyle, I would never need anything more! I am definitely intrigued to see Google grow though. Are you surprised by this move?

This weekend, a certain hue was dominating the red carpet – purple! Various tones of the colour make for a feminine yet elegant look. The shade was spotted on Katy Perry who was promoting her fragrance in London wearing a scalloped hem Miu Miu dress. Next up was Natalie Portman, who wore a similar coloured Lanvin dress to the Governors Awards. Finally, Mandy Moore wore a more pink shade to the Tangled premiere in Los Angeles last night. Emma Watson landed at JFK yesterday working a next season look. The actress was wearing a leather sleeve trenchcoat from the Burberry Prorsum Spring '11 collection and carrying a studded handbag. Emma tweeted that Christopher Bailey designed the jacket for her! The handbag is also by Burberry and called the Knight bag (£1,295). Last week, Emma was in London to attend the Harry Potter premiere and headed to the after party in a suede trench. I really like this look on her and she definitely pulls off the new style of coat.
