Love it or Hate it: Shakira at 2009 Bambi Awards

Shakira attended the 2009 Bambi Awards in Germany last night showing off her figure in (another) Versace mini dress. The Columbian singer has become quite a fan of the classic design house as she wore one of their yellow frocks at the AMAs and a silver one to the MTV European Music Awards earlier this month. The multi colour mini is from Versace's Spring 2010 collection and was teamed with some killer platforms. What do you think of Shakira's red carpet look?

Fab Flash: Jonathan Saunders to Show in London Again

September 2009 was a big month for British fashion as London celebrated it's 25th year as a style capital.

September 2009 was a big month for British fashion as London celebrated it's 25th year as a style capital. Many of the UK's biggest names and brands, including Matthew Williamson, Burberry and Jonathan Saunders, brought their designs home creating an amazing buzz around the city.

Although the celebrations are nearly over with, it seems that the experience has left quite the impact on Jonathan Saunders who told Vogue that he intends to stay here for one more season.

He explained, "I just loved showing here in September. It's much easier than New York because I'm still based in London, and I always will be - but I will go back to show in New York next autumn. It's just such a huge country - and nationwide stores like Saks and Barney's give you such huge reach. It's good for a business." I think this is a great boost for London, I wonder if any other designers will follow suit?

Nominees for the 2009 British Fashion Awards Announced

With just a few weeks to go until the 2009 British Fashion Awards take place on December 9th, the British Fashion Council have just released a list of nominees.

With just a few weeks to go until the 2009 British Fashion Awards take place on December 9th, the British Fashion Council have just released a list of nominees. The awards celebrate the movers and shakers in the fashion industry from newcomers to classic brands. Last years winners included Luella (who has since lost financial support for her label) and Jourdan Dunn. This year, model of the year is sure to be the most talked about category as Daisy Lowe, Georgia May Jagger and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley battle it out for the prize. I am quite surprised that these three have been chosen as none of them are big catwalk names, instead they have all landed very impressive campaigns. What do you think of the nominees?

RiverIsland Spring 2010 Sneak preview

Earlier this week, I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview in to the new year Spring collection for River Island. The pieces reminded me why I love Spring so much with plenty of bright colours and beautiful embellishment. For Spring River Island have included a lot of statement jackets (which I'm already lusting after) and, as usual, amazing heels. Click through to see some of my favourite items!

Do You Wear Skirts Less in the Winter?

Getting out of bed on cold days is hard enough, so when deciding what to wear I'm often tempted to throw on the warmest item in my wardrobe.

Getting out of bed on cold days is hard enough, so when deciding what to wear I'm often tempted to throw on the warmest item in my wardrobe. Unfortunately, this isn't usually the most stylish item (think a big Winter fleece) so I'm forced to settle for something else, but I usually avoid skirts on really cold days. How about you, do you wear skirts less in the Winter?
