The nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards may have only been announced today, but we're already looking forward to the red carpet styles of this year's nominees — and with good reason. From new recruit Lupita Nyong'o to returning favourite Julia Roberts, the big nominees are running the gamut. Plus, between Jennifer Lawrence's deluge of Dior looks during her recent Hunger Games: Catching Fire tour, Sandra Bullock's eye-catching blue dress in Japan, and Cate Blanchett's stunning ensembles in Dubai, we have a feeling the 2014 SAG Awards may set the style bar that much higher this award season. Which nominee are you most looking forward to seeing on the carpet?
Dita Von Teese may be the queen of vintage glamour, but she had some serious competition at last night's Van Cleef & Arpels Cocktail Party in New York, when Blake Lively also tried out a look that harked back to the past. Both stars started out with '40s-style hair and red lipstick and took advantage of the many Van Cleef & Arpels diamonds on offer, but that's where the similarities ended. While Dita chose a shimmering cream, silver, and blue brocade gown by Carolina Herrera with a plunging neckline and 3/4-length sleeves, Blake opted for a black lace slip dress. Her Marchesa creation featured pale pastel floral thread-work embroidery and Chantilly lace cutouts, stopping at the calf to show off her strappy sandals. Both women gave us a master class in how to put a vintage spin on modern designs, but whose look do you love the most?
With top costume designers like Catherine Martin of The Great Gatsby and Trish Summerville of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, it's hard to ignore the stunning styles of this year's blockbuster hits, but that's not to say the small screen didn't hold its own in the fashion arena. Television favourites like Pretty Little Liars, Scandal, Nashville, and The Carrie Diaries have developed cult followings that extend well beyond the drama and love triangles. From sophisticated separates to more-is-more performance looks to mixed-print masterpieces, our favourite fashion-centric shows run the style gamut. While each of these primetime programs fills a different sartorial void, we're relying on your vote by 16 December to help us decide which show should be crowned most fashionable for 2013!
Wearing a white dress in Winter wasn't the only shock about Felicity Jones's red carpet look. The actress literally put her best foot forward when she stepped out for the New York premiere of The Invisible Woman in hot pink Christian Dior heels.
The stilettos were the perfect complement to Felicity's crisp design, also by Dior, and added a showstopping pop of colour to an otherwise subdued look. Do you love her bright stilettos, or would you rather she stuck to the monochromatic ensemble she had going with her sleek dress and clutch?
Diane Kruger had our undivided attention at the European Film Awards this weekend in a glitzy Valentino Couture gown and a Coach Madison caviar framed clutch. It wasn't just the dress's sparkle that turned heads — the actress, who's never been afraid of a showstopping gown, dared to go pretty sheer, revealing not just a flash of skin but also a pair of black knickers. Sure, the gown's beading helped to conceal so that the peekaboo effect wasn't quite so in your face, but we still got a glimpse of Diane's underthings.
Truthfully, we'd be hard-pressed to find a look from Miss Kruger that didn't play fast and loose with the rules of red carpet dressing. The actress often pushes the boundaries and embraces bold, fashion-forward couture. The question is — can she pull it off? Are you a fan of Diane's latest look?
Bradley Cooper reunited with girlfriend Suki Waterhouse at the afterparty for his latest film, American Hustle, in NYC on Sunday night. The notoriously private couple rarely get caught in the same frame together at events, but it looks like they let their guard down for Bradley's big night. While Suki didn't walk the carpet at the premiere, she looked happy to sit with Bradley and snack on sweets while his costars worked the room. Amy Adams, who showed PDA on the carpet with fiancé Darren Le Gallo, met up with Carla Gugino, whom she worked with on Man of Steel, at the film's fete. Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner chatted with comedian Louis C.K., who has a role in the movie, while Christian Bale skipped the party to catch a plane. Unfortunately, Jennifer Lawrence had to skip the premiere entirely due to weather issues, but she did get a chance to see her castmates in the city when they attended a different American Hustle screening on Saturday and did a press conference on Sunday.
We were on the red carpet to talk with Bradley, Amy, and more stars from the film, so be sure to catch our interviews on POPSUGAR Live!
Even in Hollywood where celebs change their outfits about as often as they change their minds, the camel coat is a staple — with good reason. If you surveyed all the outerwear on the market, you'd be hard-pressed to find a coat with a colour as versatile or as classic. And while we still associate the camel coat with fashion icons like Jackie O., it can also feel totally modern — it's all about how you wear it.
To show you how it's done, we've enlisted seven celebrities. If you've wondered what it would look like to wear your camel coat for a week straight, this is it. Get the inspiration for your Monday-to-Sunday right here.
Bradley Cooper gave big kisses at the afterparty for an American Hustle screening in NYC on Friday, planting one on his director, David O. Russell. Bradley looked dapper for the event, making a solo appearance after bringing his mom to the film's LA screening earlier this month. Although costar Jennifer Lawrence wasn't in attendance, Bradley was joined by fellow castmates Amy Adams and Christian Bale, who made funny faces alongside his wife, Sibi Blazic.
We recently sat down with Christian to talk about the film, and he told us that he originally had doubts about the casting of Jennifer, who plays his wife in the movie. "I was very concerned about her when she was cast because the character had never been written so young," he said, adding, "And I'm old enough to be Jennifer's dad." The '70s-set crime drama comes out on Dec. 13, but you can get a sneak peek with pictures from the film.

Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon made a hard case for subtle texture at the 23rd annual Beat the Odds Awards last night. Both in knee-length cocktail dresses and black heels, Jennifer imbued her look with print thanks to a white lace bodice, while Reese's Michael Kors number revealed its cobalt and black print under the lights of the photographers' flashes. Whose take on print and texture did you think was stronger?
Attendees of last night's Cosmopolitan Ultimate Woman of the Year Awards gave us a lesson in how to work the pink carpet, showcasing a huge range of looks that varied from glamorous gowns to quirky shorts suits. Nicola Roberts showed off a new polished, grown-up look, while Fearne Cotton stuck to her favourite vintage-inspired evening look in a delicate lace dress. Nicole Scherzinger was as sexy as ever in a black ensemble, while Ellie Goulding opted for monochrome. Click through to see all the stylish attendees.
