Ben Affleck addressed his much-talked-about Oscars speech when wife Jennifer Garner made an appearance on stage during his monologue on Saturday Night Live last night. Ben got a lot of heat in the press for referring to his marriage as "work" in his best picture acceptance speech, but he explained that he didn't mean it in a negative way and brought out Jen — who took a break from filming Draft Day in Ohio — to clear the air, with hilarious results. Fun fact: Jen isn't the only A-list actress that Ben has asked to join him while he was hosting SNL, he brought then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow on as a guest star during his opening speech when he hosted back in 2000. Watch Ben's moment with Jen and see his bit with Gwyneth after the jump!
Ben Affleck caught up with Rachel McAdams on the red carpet at the LA premiere of their newest film, To the Wonder. Rachel wore a black lace dress as she greeted Ben and their costar Olga Kurylenko, who took a break from her promotional duties for Oblivion to attend the event. Plenty of other stars turned out for the movie's debut, including Homeland's Morena Baccarin, Zachary Levi, and How I Met Your Mother's Josh Radnor. During the premiere, Ben discussed how he and Jennifer Garner balance their busy schedules with their family life. Jennifer recently revealed that she is happy to work less for Ben, but now that she's got new projects on the horizon Ben is picking up more home duties. He said, "I'm preparing myself to take on some more of the burden [at home]. She's got a couple of movies coming up, so it's going to be a little Mr. Mom action, and I'm going to get back in the ring and we're going to see if I still have it."
Rachel has been spending her time in LA working on her press duties for the film, which hits theaters on Friday, April 12. She stopped by Disneyland with her friends and family earlier this month and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, where she revealed that she got hallucinations after buying pot in her native Toronto.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner showed love yesterday afternoon at the John Varvatos 10th annual Stuart House Benefit. Ben and Jen were the day's cochairs, and they arrived together, posing for pictures separately and side by side, before heading into the event and taking the stage to help raise funds for Stuart House, a rape treatment center. Ben welcomed the time with his wife, telling reporters that he's been relaxing with his family since winning best picture for Argo. He said, "I've been able to really just enjoy my good fortune in the last couple of weeks and sit back and kind of just take it in and not do anything, just eat ice cream on the couch. It's been a really nice time to hang out with my wife and that sort of thing, so we're just enjoying it."
They were among the many celebrity couples who turned out for the bash. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber looked right at home in the California sunshine, as did Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Joe Manganiello made the rounds with girlfriend Bridget Peters, though Nina Dobrev was without her boyfriend and Vampire Diaries costar Ian Somerhalder.

He and Jennifer both took the stage to present awards, with Jennifer teaming up with Jessica Chastain for her moment at the microphone.

At the end, he wrapped things up and dedicated the award to their three kids, Samuel, Violet, and Seraphina, then headed to the press room to chat with George and Grant. Ben Affleck celebrated his best picture, Argo, with producers George Clooney and Grant Heslov — check out the full list of 2013 BAFTA winners. Ben Affleck's wife, Jennifer Garner, looked stunning in Rouland Mouret at the BAFTA Awards, but he still made time for the guys — George Clooney and Bradley Cooper. George is Ben's producing partner on Argo, and the handsome duo have been basking in award-season success with wins at the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, and SAG Awards. Throughout the season, Ben and Bradley Cooper have been buddying up as well, even sharing a bed with each other and Emma Stone on the cover of Vanity Fair's Hollywood Issue. Tonight may mean another win for George, Bradley, and Ben, and they'll all be together one more time at the Oscars on Feb. 24.
