Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon made a hard case for subtle texture at the 23rd annual Beat the Odds Awards last night. Both in knee-length cocktail dresses and black heels, Jennifer imbued her look with print thanks to a white lace bodice, while Reese's Michael Kors number revealed its cobalt and black print under the lights of the photographers' flashes. Whose take on print and texture did you think was stronger?

Attendees of last night's Cosmopolitan Ultimate Woman of the Year Awards gave us a lesson in how to work the pink carpet, showcasing a huge range of looks that varied from glamorous gowns to quirky shorts suits. Nicola Roberts showed off a new polished, grown-up look, while Fearne Cotton stuck to her favourite vintage-inspired evening look in a delicate lace dress. Nicole Scherzinger was as sexy as ever in a black ensemble, while Ellie Goulding opted for monochrome. Click through to see all the stylish attendees.
Pack away your emerald accessories, ladies. That jewel tone is so 2013. The It colour for 2014? According to the hue professionals over at Pantone, it's a lovely shade of purple known as Radiant Orchid.
But if your wardrobe isn't filled with lilacs and lavenders, fear not. Pantone also just released its official Fashion Colour Report for Spring 2014, complete with Dazzling Blues and Celosia Oranges. And if you're still unsure how to factor, say, a coral called Cayenne into your next outfit, New York's best designers have offered up sketches, their inspirations, and — not to complicate things — their own signature colour.
The Duchess of Cambridge always looks fabulous, but when she hit the London red carpet for a royal film premiere last night, she was at her most glamorous.
Looking more Hollywood than Buckingham, Kate wowed in a slim Roland Mouret gown. While the dress on its own was stunning, it is, most notably, the same dress we saw Kate wearing in London last year. Rather than silver sandals, she paired it this time with sleek black stilettos. Of course, much like her last public appearance, the most noteworthy accessory had plenty of sparkle — she is a royal, after all! Read on to see the dress's details and to look back at its first appearance!
Another day at the Marrakech Film Festival, another Dior look by attendee Marion Cotillard. But while her past looks have been polished couture cocktail dresses and spotted silk gowns, her most recent look is decidedly more relaxed . . . and decidedly, well, more. This striped Dior Haute Couture ensemble is composed of two dresses layered on top of each other — but do you think that the look succeeds in creating a polished yet casual red carpet outfit for Marion? Or are the stripes too much? You decide, right here.
Are you planning your festive party look already? Flapper dresses offer the ultimate in timeless, vintage-inspired glamour, and the drop-waist, slouchy silhouette works for a huge variety of body shapes and is the perfect antithesis to all the body-con and skater shapes currently filling the rails. To help you find the perfect flapper dress for your next evening out, we've picked loads of our favourites from the UK high street and beyond, offering up a huge variety of styles, shapes, and colours to suit a wide range of budgets. Whether you go for a flirty red fringed number or a full-on gilded gown, we've got the flapper frock for you. Now you just need to find time to practice your Charleston.
One look at their busy schedules, and you'll see that the style set (and their wardrobes) can definitely multitask! What we wouldn't give to get dressed in Lea Michele's closet! When deciding what to wear to L'Oréal Paris's Women of Worth event last night, the star chose a dress from one of the most opulent collections of the season. The star stepped onto the red carpet in an embellished lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana — whose Autumn collection became an instant hit due to its highly decorated wares and bejewelled headpieces. What better way to make a regal, dramatic, and above all, stylish statement on the red carpet?

Making a major entrance in a caped velvet Naeem Khan gown, the Goodwill Ambassador's gold ornamentation and deep burgundy tone definitely put us in the spirit. Later, the singer took the stage and gave us a chill in Michael Kors's silver embroidered gown and icy Lorraine Schwartz jewels. The looks, while very different, had us thinking forward to our festive party looks and feeling very inspired. 'Tis definitely the season, Katy!
This month is traditionally all about party dresses, Winter coats, Christmas jumpers, and wrapping up warm, but the fact it's December didn't get in the way of two of our favourite stars showing off memorable candy-coloured looks. Amanda Seyfried attended a press conference for Cle De Peau Beaute in Seoul, South Korea, wearing a pretty lace dress and nude peep toes — a surprisingly summery look given that temperates in the South Korean capital are barely topping 10 degrees right now. Meanwhile, in London, Pixie Lott was also braving the cold whilst baring her legs in a Moschino ensemble, though the fluffy trim on her bubblegum pink shorts probably added a bit of extra warmth! Despite the unseasonal nature, we loved the pop of colour both looks gave. But which one did you like best?
Scoff if you will, but as far as we're concerned Harry Styles is entirely deserving of the British Style Award he won at Monday night's British Fashion Awards.
Styles beat out Kate Moss, David Beckham, Kate Middleton, and Cara Delevingne for the trophy, which "recognises an individual who most embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital." Alexa Chung had won the award, which allows the public to cast votes, for the past three years in a row.
What evidence do we have that Styles has earned this trophy, you ask? Click on for some of the singer's most stylish moments of 2013.
We're not about to let a little snow or ice stand in the way of a good outfit. That doesn't mean going bare-legged or refusing to bundle up (we want to look stylish, not clueless), but we refuse to wear a sleeping bag masquerading as a coat.
Clearly, this street styled crew knows the feeling — showing off a set of Winter-ready outfits that don't include oversize puffers or snow boots. Instead, their looks inspire a sleek, pulled-together standard for your cold-weather looks, because a little inclement weather should never stand in the way of a great outfit. Click through for the inspiration, and prepare to layer up in style.
It's not that hard to look chic when you're wearing head-to-toe Dior. That's what Naomi Watts did last night at a party celebrating the reopening of Kirna Zabete, the much-loved New York boutique. Watts wore a pale blue silk jacquard dress with a red graphic floral print from the house as well as a pair of black heels. It makes sense — a section of the new store is dedicated to Dior wares.
Black dresses aside, Kelly Rowland and Allison Williams couldn't have looked more different last night at the Winter Ball for Autism in New York City. Kelly made her first appearance since her engagement in a curve-hugging number with shimmering embellishment along its left sleeve.
Meanwhile, Allison Williams had a princess moment in a lace gown with a full tiered skirt by Oscar de la Renta. She finished off the dramatic ensemble with a sleek clutch, which was also by the brand, a statement cocktail ring, and a pair of matching earrings. Whose take on the classic black dress did you think won on the red carpet?
For today's how-to, we're showing you how you can get your engagement ring clean and sparkly using household remedies. All of these techniques are perfectly safe for all different types of precious stones and metals. Whether you want to try using baking soda, dishwasher detergent, or ammonia, your precious piece will be clean and sparkly in no time. The bonus? You can also use these tips to clean other pieces in your jewellery box. On Allison McNamara: H&M top, Ann Taylor necklace.
Knee-high boots will always be a cold-weather staple, but over the last few seasons, fashion fans have been far more attached to ankle boots than their taller cousins. This Winter, all that is changing. The knee-high is enjoying a renaissance, and we couldn't be happier. Longer boots are just so easy to wear, and there is an option to suit all styles and budgets. To help you find your perfect pair, we've picked 25 of the best. Just click on through and find your next pair!
