I recently got an email from a buddy of mine asking about a mascara that won't smudge after a few hours of wear. She's tried everything from designer to High Street, to waterproof brands, yet still nothing seems to be working. Apparently, it's so bad that she's considering semi-permanent lash tinting as an alternative. Unfortunately, this is quite costly. I have my favourites that I've suggested to her such as Lancome Courbe Virtuose and the ever popular DiorShow, but I'd like to turn the question over to you for some more advice. Either vote on one of the options below, or, leave a comment with your favourite smudge-free mascara!

loreal volume shocking waterproof mascara is AMAZING!
1i bought this on sale for like £3 and its the best mascara ive ever had! i thought the primer my leave a white residue on my lashes, but it didnt! this makes my lashes look really long and it doesnt clump! at the end of the day, my lashes look exactly the same as they did at 7:30am and with a good makeup remover it comes off great!
I really like Cover Girl Lash Blast. It works great!
2Maybelline is the beat mascara.
3Sadly my two fav mascaras (Max Factor and the Body Shop) do flake. I'd rather keep the flakes and the mascaras though, I like the fact I can wash it off with soap and water if I don't have makeup remover with me. (that can be a pain since I cry easily when I laugh too hard)
4Clinique High Definition mascara. Dior Show has let me down.
5oh, don't buy that guerlain mascara! i had to get rid of that thing. it's good thick and very nice... up to the point when you need to remove it. and I had the non-waterproof one as well. i never had to rub my eyes so hard and even shu uemura oil couldn't take it off
6I just tried Avon's waterproof washable mascara. It doesn't smuge and is kind of washable........can't take it off with a baby-wipe. While is doesn't smudge, it doesn't make my lashes thick or long.
7Other than that is OK
