Part three of my series on Wedding Makeup 101, is catered towards the eco-conscious bride. She's someone who wants to make the world a better place. She'll likely be wearing a gown made from animal-free or organic materials, use recycled paper for her invitations, and make sure that her big day coheres with environmentally sound guidelines. This means that she'll also be wearing Earth friendly makeup that's free from talcs and parabens.
I happen to love a lot of the new mineral makeup brands out there, especially The Organic Pharmacy and Bare Escentuals, so it's certainly not like products are far and few between anymore. Take a peek below at some of these great, organic beauty products online!

Post a CommentI've heard that mineral makeup can photograph poorly since the minerals are light-reflective. I've heard you can look ghostly pale in pictures no matter how great you look in real life. Any truth to that? I'd like to use mineral makeup because it seems to be just what I'm looking for (light, doesn't look like you're wearing makeup, gives a natural look, and skin-friendly) but I don't want to use it if it's just going to look bad in photos! Help!
Hi,
I use Bare Minerals and I used it for my engagement shoot and my skin looked flawless, I recommend it over liquid foundation. It didn't reflect any light and my pics turned out great.I was actually out late the night before the shoot and just applied a makeup primer and concealed with bare minerals powder. Our shoot was outside for three hrs and it didn't look like I was tired at all.I didn't even have to touch up...def. use a primer!
