How to Be the Best-Dressed Wedding Guest (Without Upstaging the Bride)
Weddings rank pretty high on the momentous-occasion scale — so being a guest at one rightfully carries with it a pretty high (albeit, reasonable) level of expectations. Yes, all weddings are different, but there's a basic code of conduct and dress that will serve you well no matter what kind of event you're attending. Is a white dress really a no-no? What does "semiformal" attire really mean? We're decoding the wedding dress code and more right here:

- First things first — the invite will usually spell out the dress code for you, so follow the clues and dress according to time and location. When deciphering the dress code, follow this rule of thumb: "casual" — a day dress, sundress, or pretty skirt and blouse is a safe bet; "cocktail" or "semiformal" attire — a cocktail dress; "formal" — a floor-length dress or formal cocktail dress; "black tie" — opt for an evening gown or luxe cocktail dress.
- To put an end to the age-old debate, we're taking a firm stance on this one: no, you can't wear white to a wedding unless you are the bride. Call us traditional, but we'd rather err on the side of caution than commit a major fashion faux paux. Even if the bride is easy-going, or your dress is ecru, eggshell, or cream, there's really no grey area here. Bottom line: just don't do it — at the wedding, the rehearsal dinner, even the bachelorette.

Did Keira Wear a Rodarte Rerun to Her Wedding?
Over the weekend, Keira Knightley and her muscian love James Righton (keyboard player of the Klaxons), jet set to the hillside town of Mazan, Provence to tie the knot. Clad in a strapless, knee-length, blush coloured tulle dress that she paired with black sunnies, a delicate garland in her hair, flesh-toned ballerina flats and a cropped Chanel boucle jacket, Keira looked ethereal, relaxed and best of all, happy. Apparently, there were only 11 guests that attended the ceremony in town hall but a total of 50 who celebrated their nuptuals later in the day. Among those were Sienna Miller and Karl Lagerfeld.
I loved her relaxed wedding look, especially her her hairstyle that you can see here, but it is the dress that has me confirming just how cool of a kat Keira really is. Could it be that the beautiful actress wore the same Rodarte dress in 2008 to a Pre-Bafta party (pictured here), that she donned for her nuptials? Unless she just really liked the style and had it redone, I think it looks remarkably similar. What do you think?

What Style Dress Would You Like To See Keira Wear on Her Wedding Day?
![]()
The Mirror has just reported that 28 year old Keira Knightley is set to wed her 29 year old rock and roll flame James Righton in the South of France this weekend. After a year of being engaged, the blushing bride has apparently chosen Provence as their destination site, where they will have an intimate ceremony with approximately 100 guests.
Back in January, Keira was rumoured to be trying on gowns at Chanel, which is no big surprise as she and Karl Lagerfeld have become quite close. Not only is she the face of Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, but she is the star of his new short film Once Upon a Time and she is frequently spotted in Chanel couture on the red carpet.
We know that Alexa Chung will be in attendance, as she is the one responsible for setting up the lovebirds, but the big question of the day is — what will Keira wear? Browse a multitude of dresses below and leave a comment to let me know which style dress you think would suit her best.
186 Reasons Why Prince William and Kate Middleton Make A Chic Pair
If there's one couple we (always) keep close style tabs on, it's definitely Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Yesterday, the royal pair celebrated their second wedding anniversary, and while it feels like yesterday that we were floored by her custom Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress, their second year as husband and wife has been filled with superchic — not to mention, monumental — moments for both. While Kate has become a master of high-low styling, favouring everything from Topshop and Whistles to Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen, William is just as good at donning a cool mix of dapper suits and more casual fare. Lest we forget, the couple is expecting their first child in July, which means we're on baby bump watch, too! To fete William and Kate's wedding anniversary, we've rounded up their best fashion moments in the two years since tying the knot. Here are more than 150 photos to commemorate.
Your Guide to Royal Weddings
On April 29, expectant parents Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary! In 2011, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot in a royal wedding seen 'round the world, breaking the record for the largest online live-streaming audience with a record 72 million live views from people across 188 countries. While many royal weddings don't garner the attention of Prince William and Kate Middleton's big day, they don't lack in lavishness.
Will and Kate's nuptials were part of a long tradition of elaborate royal weddings around the world. Last year, the tiny country of Luxembourg treated its Crown Prince Guillaume to an extravagant affair when he married Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy. The celebration, which reportedly cost around $650,000 and was funded by taxpayers, spanned multiple days and included a guest list packed with kings, queens, and other royals from around the world. In Brunei, Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, the fifth daughter of Brunei's sultan, married Pengiran Haji Muhammad Ruzaini at her father's 1,700-room palace in front of 3,000 guests. A state dinner followed, and Queen Elizabeth II even sent her best wishes.
These royals make up some of the lesser-known but just as regal royals of the world. And just like the Brits, they know how to throw opulent weddings for members of their families. From the wedding for the future emperor of Japan in 1924 to Grace Kelly's Monaco spectacular in 1956 to Will and Kate's big day on April 29, 2011, here is a guide to the world's royal weddings over the years.
