Womenswear has been influenced by Coco Chanel since she opened her first store in 1913. She reinvented fashion for women, reworking classic fabrics and adding a sporty touch to traditional pieces. This year, fashion is acknowledging her inspiration through two films (The Secret Story of Chanel and Stravinsky and Coco Before Chanel) and with key pieces. One of these tribute pieces is the tweed jacket for which Chanel are arguably most famous. On the Chanel catwalk (right) it featured in a longer length for a more casual style. Luella and Peter Jensen gave the look a funky twist by drawing from a bright colour palette. See below for tweed jackets currently available.
