The grey skies have returned to the UK this week following a brief hiatus, however, I'm not letting the weather dampen my mood and am investing in a summer wardrobe regardless.
This season footwear has embraced a new form of sole produced from cork giving sandals a classic summer holiday feel. Cork is such a lightweight fabric that it makes a perfect material for stack wedges, which is exactly how it's been used at Yves Saint Laurent (£290).
My current favourite are these blue Beatrix Ong heels (£305) with unusual sling back detail. For a smaller budget, Peacocks have a bargain cork gladiator sandal for just £15. See below for many beautiful cork heeled shoes.

Post a CommentI love a shoe with a little cork. They are so summery and cute!!
I don't like them. They're a little tacky!
Totally depends on the shoe, but I've seen some super cute ones
I think you have to be so, so careful about cork heels. There's like a 1% chance of you getting it right and 99% chance of getting them wrong and looking completely tack-tastic. I personally wouldn't take the risk. I particularly think cork wedges are so unnattractive. The only pair above I would even consider are the Giuseppe Zanotti platforms.
Not a big fan of the cork heel.
