If you're sale shopping this month then be sure to look out for a bubble skirt. The unusual shape item is great for the Summer if you team with gladiator sandals and then even better in the winter with tights and brogues.
They appeared on the catwalk at Miu Miu and PPQ to name but a few. Bubble skirts look best worn high waisted with a blouse and heels.
It's quite easy to adjust an old skirt in to a bubble shape. Simply make a small cut in to the hem of the skirt and thread through elastic before securing with a stitch.

the great thing about bubble skirts is that they suit pretty much all women no matter the age etc. Though I couldn't imagine my granny wearing one, my mum would look great.
