Last night, I was lucky enough to be invited to Porchester Hall in West London for the filming of one of the Tommy Hilfiger sessions. Back in April I told you about the launch of Tommy TV where these sessions will be streamed around the world. The first London Hilfiger session was hosted by the gorgeous Daisy Lowe with performances by The Metros, Steve Appleton, Zarif and John Legend.

Celebrity guests included Jaime Winstone, Alfie Allen, Amy Molyneau (of PPQ) and stylist Richard Shoyemi. I chatted with some of the stars and the guests and I'll be reporting back what they had to say over the next few days.
In the meantime, to find out about what the Legend himself had to say, read more.
I managed to grab a minute with John before the performances began. He was wearing head to toe Hilfiger, including a great cardigan, with Nike trainers.

FS: Who are you looking forward to seeing?
JL: Zarif and The Metro's. It’s going to be fun tonight. I saw Zarif during rehearsals and she sounded great.
FS: Why do you think that fashion and music are so linked?
J: ‘Cause musicians have to wear clothes and we have to look good. And your style helps define your persona as an artist and I think that’s why musicians care about fashion. It’s important to look the part of who you are to represent yourself and you know, you’re going to be on a lot of cameras so you should look good.
FS: Any item you couldn’t live without?
JL: My underwear.
FS: Any brand?
J: No doesn’t matter, just want to have some on.
FS: Anything that you splurge on?
JL: I mean I don’t spend a lot of money on clothes. I like to get as much for free as possible. That’s the only reason I’m here today! Free clothes! (laughs).
