Todd Lynn Invites You Over to the Dark Side

Todd Lynn is the master of androgyny, but his skill is in knowing how to tweak his tailoring to make it look very much like womenswear. This season, his trademark rock-and-roll suits, coats, tuxedo trims, leather looks, and dark, moody palette got a glamorous overhaul with the injection of shimmering fabrics, sunray pleats, gunmetal metallics, and oily green fur trims. It was a sexy, '70s-inspired collection, reminiscent of Tom Ford's heydays at Gucci in the late '90s but a little more covered up and nonchalant.

You'll want the coats, with their leather belts and wrapover fronts, and the shiny cigarette trousers and pinstripe midi skirts, and there will undoubtedly be queues for the boots, with pointed toes and slouchy uppers, shown in silver, grey suede, and black, hitting midcalf and fastened with leather thong laces. Like a sexy revamping of the classic pirate boots, will these replace the omnipresent Isabel Marant ankle boots as the model boot of choice?
