The Spring '11 ad campaigns are slowly being revealed, and today was the turn of Balenciaga as Gisele poses in an unusual wig. Gisele walked in the Spring show earlier this year, so it's not a huge surprise that they snapped up the model. It's quite a sporty campaign and was shot by Steven Meisel. Do you like this campaign?

Freaky or Fabulous: Lanvin Spring '10 Campaign

Lanvin are being experimental with their Spring ad campaigns.

Lanvin are being experimental with their Spring ad campaigns. Just last week I revealed an image showing models running down the hall and now this one has been unveiled too.

Alber Elbaz explained, "I thought maybe we need a bit of action," and he's certainly provided that! It was shot by Steven Meisel and stars fellow photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

It's a very memorable image and will definitely get people talking, but is it a step too far? Do you think this image is freaky or fabulous?

Fab Ad: Madonna for Dolce and Gabbana

Following the success of her Louis Vuitton campaign, Madonna has now been snapped up by Italian duo Dolce and Gabbana.

Following the success of her Louis Vuitton campaign, Madonna has now been snapped up by Italian duo Dolce and Gabbana. The Spring adverts show the Queen of Pop doing domestic duties like washing the dishes and eating pasta. She was shot by Steven Meisel (who recently created a Twitpic cover for Italian Vogue) who, when asked whether Madonna can actually wash up commented, "Certainly . . . she's a very practical woman". Madonna and her daughter Lourdes both wore Dolce and Gabbana earlier in the week at the Nine premiere in New York. What do you think of this ad campaign?

Fab Ad: Lara Stone for Louis Vuitton

One of the first major Spring '10 campaigns has just been revealed as model of the moment Lara Stone stars for Louis Vuitton.

One of the first major Spring '10 campaigns has just been revealed as model of the moment Lara Stone stars for Louis Vuitton. Madonna has been the face of the French fashion house for the past few seasons, but now Lara takes the reigns and scores a very romantic campaign. Antoine Arnault, Vuitton's communications director told WWD, “After two seasons with such a huge star, Marc [Jacobs] decided to take a breather and work with a model — and not just any model. It’s the choice of a new supermodel.”

Steven Meisel shot the images where Lara lies amongst doves and flowers for a very natural photo. She is wearing the kitten heel clogs which appeared in the Spring 2010 show and are sure to be a hot new season item. What do you think of these images?

Vogue Italia Go for a Twitter Cover

2009 has really been the year of Twitter.

2009 has really been the year of Twitter. Everybody has been sharing their every move with the world (including me) which has given us a greater insight in to the lives of celebrities and designers. Vogue Italia have taken their Twitter obsession to a new level by dedicating the cover of the December issue to it.

Steven Meisel has made a collage of TwitPics starring top models which is sure to provoke mixed reactions. Gisele Bündchen, Lara Stone, Natalia Vodianova, and Christy Turlington all feature in the collage. What do you think of this cover – is it taking Twitter a step too far, or is it a clever way to acknowledge a big trend?

Fab Ad: Jennifer Connelly for Balenciaga

Jennifer Connelly has returned as the face of Balenciaga this Autumn after a brief hiatus.

Jennifer Connelly has returned as the face of Balenciaga this Autumn after a brief hiatus. She last appeared in the campaign in Spring 2008 in an impressive heeled gladiator boots. I am happy to see her return to Balenciaga, but can't help but feel that this campaign is a bit awkward. Fellow blogger Sassy Bella was less than impressed by the shot, which has also been described as looking like she'd passed out drunk. One things for sure, it certainly shows off the clothing well. Otherwise, I'm not sure about this image which was shot by Steven Meisel – what do you think?

Pixie Geldof

Fab Cover: PIxie Geldof for Vogue Italia

When Cheryl Cole graced the cover of British Vogue earlier this year, I know some of you were upset to see another celebrity on a fashion magazine.

When Cheryl Cole graced the cover of British Vogue earlier this year, I know some of you were upset to see another celebrity on a fashion magazine. Well, Pixie Geldof is sure to get you talking this month as she becomes the coverstar of Vogue Italia.

She got her first cover under her belt aged just 17 at Tatler last year, but a high fashion glossy like this is surely a bigger achievement. She was shot by Steven Meisel and appears inside the magazine alongside friend and fellow Select model Daisy Lowe for a 14-page editorial.

Just last week Pixie's advert for Pringle was unveiled, which was also shot by Meisel and was said to inspire him for this issue of Vogue. Hilary Alexander wonders if this is "the rebirth of a Cool Brittania fashion sequel, which gathered steam when Meisel photographed the likes of Stella Tennant back in the early '90s?" What do you think of Pixie starring in this magazine?

Which Pringle Girl is the Most Fab?

Back in December I revealed Daisy Lowe's ad campaign for Pringle of Scotland.

Back in December I revealed Daisy Lowe's ad campaign for Pringle of Scotland. Since then further images have been released starring Pixie Geldof and Lydia Hearst. Steven Meisel shot the campaign which sees Pringle gaining a new edgy look. Pixie is almost unrecognisable in this shoot and Lydia's wild hair leaves much to be desired. Who is your favourite new face of Pringle of Scotland?
