With the first bank holiday behind us, it's time to ramp up your Spring essentials with some fun, on-trend items. I've gathered five different clothing items and accessories that I'm kvelling over like a pair of black patent and lucite pointy pumps, a neon-trimmed clutch, bright coloured crystal earrings and more. Click through the slideshow to see what all the fuss is about and vote at the end to let me know which must-have piece makes the top of your wish list.
Models, designers, celebrities, and more descended upon Manhattan this week for the 2013 Met Gala, and made sure to share their punk-infused snaps throughout the event. In addition to those high-glamour photos, we also got a glimpse of our fashionable favorites in their moments of work and play. Hilary Rhoda had an unfortunate spill on the set, while her fellow model Coco Rocha showed off her most-loved colour of the moment. Cara Delevingne cosied up to Karl Lagerfeld in Singapore, and Stella McCartney made a special visit to Rihanna's concert in London. Also hanging across the pond was Nicky Hilton, who shared a cool candid snap in front of a classic British phone booth, while Bar Refaeli warned against the dangers of skinny dipping — alone.
As the face of Balenciaga's Florabotanica fragrance, you may have guessed that Kristen Stewart would wear the label on the Met Gala red carpet. But leave it to her to keep us guessing! The Snow White and the Huntsman 2 actress went with a bordeaux lace-embroidered jumpsuit, studded pumps, and a gold square box clutch — all by Stella McCartney. Her coordinating eye makeup and slicked-back hair finished off the moody look. Are you a fan of her not-so-punk choice?
Kate Moss was the life of the party in London last night! Along with her husband, Jamie Hince, mom Linda Moss, and friends like Stella McCartney and Rhys Ifans, Kate put on her finest '80s gear to mark the 50th birthday of their pal Fran Cutler at the Groucho Club. Fran, a PR executive, has been friends with Kate for years, and their many mutual friends helped pull off the surprise bash, which included many unique moments, from a This-Is-Your-Life-style presentation from Rhys and a set from Rita Ora.
Rita was there with her BFF Cara Delevingne. 20-year-old Cara and 22-year-old Rita's social circles have overlapped with Kate's now that Rita is romantically linked to Kate's good friend Dave Gardner, who's also close with David Beckham. Rita and Cara both dressed up for the period theme, though Kate topped them all by pulling out a second ensemble for the afterparty at The Box.
How does this faux python and gold, heavy metal chain bag from Stella McCartney make you feel? I am seriously loving it along with Kate Hudson who was seen wearing it in London last month. Also spotted in Los Angeles, Paris and New York with her baby boo is Anne Hathaway. Lastly, Sienna Miller carried the green version to theatre in New York City on a date with her man Tim Sturridge. This amazing Baby Bailey Boo Bag costs (£670) and is available in two shades. There is also a larger tote in the same colours that costs (£800). The bags will be available very soon online and in stores, as they are part of the Spring Summer 2013 collection. I feel a fashion frenzy coming on with this new arm candy — what are your thoughts?
Dressed in a bespoke navy skirt suit, Cartier headpiece, veil, and navy velvet shoes that she created herself, Stella McCartney visited Buckingham Palace yesterday with her husband Alasdhair Willis to collect an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services in fashion from the HM Queen Elizabeth. The 41 year old designer began her eponymous label in 2001 and has since created the 500 piece Olympic kit alongside Adidas for Great Britain. Also in 2012, Stella was named Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. As for her OBE, she told the Press Association, "I feel really proud and really excited and honoured to be here." This mother of four should be beaming with gratification as she joins other OBE recipients such as Dame Vivienne Westwood, Sarah Burton and Tamara Mellon. On Saturday night, the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards kicked off without a hitch and the young, hot, hipsters of Hollywood certainly dressed to impress. In fact, American designers didn't seem to cut the edgy red carpet, so five famous faces headed across the pond for some fashion help. Kristen Stewart dazzled in Osman, Miranda Cosgove wowed in Stella McCartney, Khloè Kardashian looked beautiful in Antonio Berardi and Fergie and Jessica Alba looked fun and flirty in Mary Katranzou. To see more photos of their red carpet fashion and beauty style and to vote on which British-designed dress you liked best, scroll through my slideshow here.
Over in Paris this morning, celebrities like Twiggy, Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, Natalia Vodianova, Marianne Faithfull, Anna Wintour, Nancy Shevell, Sir Paul McCartney along with U2 lead singer Bono and his wife Ali attended the Stella McCartney Autumn/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear show. It looks like Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie got cosy in the city of love and the elder music set sat together and chatted. The clothing looks amazing in the photos as modeled by Cara Delevigne and Karli Kloss just to name a few wearing purples, blacks, whites and greys. Whilst Sir Paul and his bride arrived in the appropriate coloured tops, they both chose light coloured denim on the bottom. Hopefully Stella is as proud of the collection as we are excited, after all, she did get a standing ovation from this critical fashionable front row.
Last night at the ElleUK Style Awards, celebrities along with the fash pack in London gathered at The Savoy Hotel to celebrate the magazine, women, style and of course to get their energy going for London Fashion Week that begins this Friday. Take a peek at some of the fabulous faces in attendance who all seemed to either be wearing black, white or red.
