Sometimes I think that items can tick too many trend boxes and the finished result is a bit overwhelming. These Topshop boots (£90) are slouchy, pirate boots with an open toe and they're in store for the Summer months.
I have been gazing at them for some time, but I really can't decide whether I love or hate them. Can you help – what do you think of this footwear?

They're gorgeous, Fab - I think you need them! Plus the fact that they're nude and heeled won't shorten your legs, which slouchy boots tend to do.
1Meh. They just don't look very summery to me, and I don't like the brown straps.
2if they weren't peep toe; I hate all peep toes. I like them other than that...
3I think there is a little too much going on here. The tan color of the shoe is beautiful and summery, but the dark brown leather straps ruin the effect for me. I want something more simple for summer! Leather boots are for winter, even if they have a peep toe!
