Perhaps it was all of Serena Williams's good luck charms that won her a third Wimbledon title! On Saturday, the 27 year old played on centre court wearing a large diamond heart pendant, hooped earrings and a bracelet.
Whilst her all-white ensemble was tennis apropos, the jewellery wasn't something that I expected to see. I would think all of that clanging would be distracting, plus it could cause an injury if you were to fall.
At least she looked good, and it has me wondering if her baubles are from her own Serena Williams Fashion Jewellery for HSN collection. Tell me; do you wear jewellery when you play sport?

Wearing jewelry while playing a sport is one of the dumbest ways to risk injury -- especially if you do team/contact sports. I always cringe watching baseball players wearing thick, dangly chains... when I was doing competative cheerleading, we were not allowed to wear jewelry or to allow our nails to grow past our fingertips. A girl once hid her nails from the coach and ended up almost slicing her stunt partner's ear off!
1I agree. Growing up playing soccer (football)
we could never wear any jewelry, not
even stud earrings. So I also cringe when I see these athletes playing in loose dangling jewelry. Especially Sharapova, she's always got these extra long dangling earrings that I can't stop
imagining one of them getting caught on her racket and...well... you get the picture.
2Only a chain bracelet I haven't taken off since I was 15 (apart from that monthI worked in a hospital and couldn't wear jewellery or makeup hah). I agree with the comments, I always see it as dangerous, and above all incredibly uncomfortable to wear jewellery when I'm moving a lot and getting all sweaty!
3Nope --- my fingers swell when I run long distances, and I don't want to lose earrings in the water.
4Tennis is my game and I love Serena! I know, I digress. Anyway, I wear small stud earrings and a thin bracelet. I used to wear a necklace, too, but all the running sometimes distracts me.
5Only a small diamond on a chain that I never take off and occasionally studs if I've just come straight from work and am running, as I often forget to take them out. But certainly nothing dangly.
6LOL!
