It's all about ad campaigns right now as top designers reveal the faces of their Spring line. Today the much rumoured Madonna for Louis Vuitton ad campaign has been revealed with the singer showing off her toned physique in fishnet tights and an orange version of the 'grass dress' she wore to a recent UNICEF party. Marc Jacobs explained his reasons for choosing Madonna after seeing her tour in Paris.

To find out what Jacobs had to say and to see the ad campaign just read more.
"I just blurted out, ‘I think we should do Madonna'. I was totally just blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy." She quickly agreed and the campaign was shot by Steven Meisel, which marks the end of a six year collaboration with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Jacobs concluded, "I still feel it looks like beautiful, gorgeous Madonna. Excepting the references and excepting the clichés, this still feels very today. And it didn’t feel so much like a fashion shoot, it feels like portraits."
These images will appear "very strongly" in magazines for their February or March issues. Do you think that Madonna is a good face for the design house?

Madonna and her fishnets. Throughout the years, she never grown out of them!
1I'm kind of sick of seeing Madonna showing off (yeah, we got it, you look really good for 50, now get dressed!), but I have to admit there pictures are pretty fabulous.
2she looks like classic madonna here, with the red lips and brassy wavy hair
3I agree- really loving the red lips!!
4She looks kinda tired.
5Well that's some Photoshop magic. Her body looks rockin but we know her face doesn't really look that perfect.
6I honestly don't understand why Marc Jacobs thought she would be a good face for this line. It's supposed to be a fairly classy line, am I right? And he chooses Madonna? I highly doubt that anyone who's being honest would call her "classy".
7gah! she looks A-MAZING!
8I think she makes LV look cheaper and more trashy by being in their ads. Not a good choice.
9I agree with you, ikay
