Yesterday was a packed day for Lily Allen as she unveiled her jewellery collection at Claridges whilst her first Chanel ad campaign was released online. We first heard about her high fashion staring role in May when Karl Lagerfeld picked her because he thinks that she's "fun".
Choosing Lily to front the accessories campaign sees Chanel moving in a younger direction as last season Jerry Hall was the focus of attention. She was channeling Lea de Lonval from Cheri, where as Lily is more Breakfast at Tiffany's Holly Golightly. I can't wait to hear what you think of this campaign. Considering he picked her because she's fun I would've expected the ads to be a little more interesting/fun.
1They're nowhere near as fun as they could be and I hate that looking-over-the-sunglasses pose so much. They could have really gone to town with this and made it really fun... nicht gut Karl, nicht gut.
