The Mercury Music Awards took place last night in London with a surprise victory for Speech Debelle. There were a lot of female nominees this year including regular festival performers Florence and the Machine, Bat for Lashes and La Roux. These three made the biggest style statements on the red carpet with La Roux opting for her typical androgynous style, Bat for Lashes wearing a velvet Ann Sofie Back dress with ankle boots and Florence wearing an ensemble of mixed textures.
