Hey there, it's Allison, and I'm here with Pansy from H&M.
Hi.
And in today's Fab Flash, we're going to show you our favorite pieces from The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo collaboration, designed by Trish Summerville. So tell me about this newest collaboration.
We're so excited for this collaboration because we worked with Trish Summerville who's the costume designer from the American version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. And what she did was, she went through and she worked with Elizabeth Salander's character, and recreated a collection for H&M that is the essence of that character.
So what is the essence of Elizabeth Salander? The essence of her character is really gritty, edgy, she's urban, she's running through the streets, her clothes are really worn. But the collection has been re-imagined for every girl.
I love it, well let's show them our favorite pieces. Our first and I think favorite piece from the collaboration is this awesome black motojacket . It also comes in burgundy, which I'm wearing. And if you don't already have a moto jacket, you need to get this.
This is my must have from the collection. It's a real leather moto jacket. It has the quilted shoulders and the elbows, and it fits great. You can throw this on over anything.
Another jacket that we love is the one that Pansy's wearing right now.
This jacket's really cool 'cause it's mixed materials. It's grey denim with the faux leather sleeves. And the sleeves are kind of distressed, which is, again, very much like Salander's character and everything she wears in the film. So it's just a new way to wear a denim jacket.
These jeans are another great piece in the collaboration, and they are grey, but they also have this awesome distressing, which is edgy, but you can totally make it more feminine with a great blouse.
And what I love about this whole collection and this piece in particular is you can take something like this and make it your own. You can wear it with heels and dress it up or you can put sneakers on and a hoodie and be super casual.
If you're in need of an edgier pant, you totally should pick up these leather pants. I think they're awesome. They come in black and in burgundy, and I personally love the black ones because you can wear them with anything in your closet.
The fit on these pants is amazing. They have so much stretch in them, they hug the body. And leather leggings are on trend right now. Everybody needs a pair.
This sweater is a really cool update for a basic hoodie. It's got distressing all over it and will instantly add edge to any outfit.
The sweater is oversized, it's floppy, and it has this giant hood. It's super comfortable. You can throw it on if you're going to the airport, if you're going on a trip, it's a must have. Or you can even wear it with leather leggings and a basic white tee for a little dressier look. This coat is another grey must have from the collaboration.
It's getting a little cold outside and if you're in need of a neutral jacket, this is for you.
And what's great about this coat is you can really see the essence of Salander's character in it. Trish custom-made a lot of the pieces in the film and you can really see it in this piece with the asymmetric zipper and the oversized hood.
If you're looking for a piece that's not quite as edgy, a really easy way to wear the collection is with this tan top and it's got this cute little proverb on it.
Yeah, and it's great cause it has these oversized arm holes. You can wear it with like a bright-colored sports bra underneath, or your favorite bra and let it peak out. It's kind of a sexy way to wear a t-shirt.
Like it would be more feminine if you had, like, a little lace hanging out. It totally, like, gives it that feminine feel.
Trish Summerville also designed about 10 accessories to complete this collection.
And the first thing that we love are these boots. Grey is a really cool alternate for a black boot, and I think that you could wear this with so many different things and the coolest part are these detailing around the front, these straps that it has.
And these boots have a great wedge, and these sub-dermal piercings on the back, which again go back to Salander's character in the film, cause she's got a ton of piercings.
And they're comfortable, cause they're a wedge. One of the most iconic things about the movie are the earrings that Salander wears, and these are a really easy way to incorporate that edginess into your look.
And what's really cool about these is that they're really easy to put on--they go right through your piercing--but they look just like faux gauges. One of the coziest accessories inthe collection is this snood. Now for those of you who don't know what a snood is, it's a hood and a scarf together. You just throw it on over your head, and you're super warm, and super cozy.
Yeah, and you can easily wear it with like a leather jacket, or if you're just wearing a long sleeve top you can throw it on over that, too. So you've seen our favorites from the collaboration, now go pick up yours. The collection hits stores on December 14th.
