Orla Kiely's second high street collection for Uniqlo, due out on September 6 as part of Fashion's Night Out, makes me dream of cold Autumn nights where you want to snuggle up in a colourful printed dress, shirt, hoodie or scarf. Her first line of tshirts for the chain sold out in less than four hours back in March, so I'm predicting big things for this latest collaboration. The London-based Irish designer told Vogue:
"After such a successful collection for spring/summer 2012, I was really happy to do another collection with Uniqlo. I really admire their philosophy and classic style, but also their attention to good quality materials. The price is great and it definitely feels like the less-is-more approach to styling, which is very modern. I love the Japanese aesthetic and so it has been great collaborating with such a popular and cool brand."
Kiely added: "We were really keen to introduce some new shapes that had a Sixties vibe". Scarves will go on sale at £9.90, long sleeve tshirts at £14.90, dresses at £19.90, and hoodies at £29.90. Take a look here at what you can expect and tell me if you're excited too!
