One of the collections that I really liked from London Fashion Week, was Noir/Bllack Noir. Everything was a gothic black and white with the exception of one strapless, flowy navy, almost Angelina Jolie-inspired dress. The makeup was edgy and rich with a focus on dark eyes, a contoured face and uber-pale lips. Hair was styled two ways: either ironed stick straight with a center part or slicked back in a classy chignon.

Lucky for me, Efi Davies from Toni and Guy has shared with me the products and technique involved in creating this playful "young, fresh and rocking" hair. For more images from the show and to find out how you can create it yourself in four easy steps, read more.
- STEP 1: Begin by dispersing a palm-sized amount of label.m Volume Mousse throughout the hair and then blow-drying straight using tension with a cushion brush.
- STEP 2: Next, to contrast the texture of the hair, apply a little bit of label.m Dry Shampoo and brush through from the roots through to the middle of the length.
- STEP 3: Lastly, spray label.m Shine Mist from the middle lengths to ends of your hair.
- STEP 4: You can either part hair in the center and use a straightening iron to achieve the first look, or secure hair in a mid-to-low ponytail, twist hair into chignon and fasten with bobby pins.

I've actually never worn my hair in chignon, but have always like the look. How exactly do you "twist" it to create the above look?
1I wonder that too...
2Yeah, so easy guys just: twist hair into chignon and fasten with bobby pins.. duh!
3Thanks for the tutorial, I love the hair on the right!! A shame I just had my hair cut - gasp! - short last night.
