The athletes of Team GB and Paralympics GB will be kitted out in these suits and dresses courtesy of Next come the Summer. Just like Stella McCartney and Adidas' sportswear kit, Next's formalwear features the Union Jack in its designs, which have been revealed today. Navy and Olympic gold is the colour theme for the athletes' London 2012 Games breathable outfits, with the national flag showing up in laser-cut decoration on the bodice of the women's cowl-neck dresses. I love the clutch — a replica will go on sale from mid June for £25.
The team logo is rendered on the back, while suit jackets have the team motto engraved on the buttons and embroidered on the underside of the collar — Better Never Stops for Olympians, and Talent, Pride, Determination for Paralympians. A replica version of the suit (£220) will go on sale in 31 stores across the UK on May 19.
