Spring sees New Look picking up a bit of an American vibe with Katy Perry style burlesque pieces, bright animal prints and Hollywood wife style dresses. One section of the new range was a mix of Perry's style and Christina Aguilera's Candyman video providing a fun twist on classic burlesque. Think sailor chic with a lot of glitter. They brought back a spot of national pride with a Union Jack handbag. New Look are now synonymous with bargain yet on-trend footwear and Spring '09 will not disappoint. Nice to see they're stepping away from the Lily
Allen's dresses though!
I actually like some of their stuff; my problem is I'm sure I'll get overwhelmed by the colours and hyper tweens when I'll step into the shop to have a look at the collection.
Also, I feel like I'm reliving my 90s Oasis days, but I love that bag.
1I'm liking the Terry De Haviland-esque blue wedges. And some of the colours and prints they've used. The problem I have with New Look is that the clothes tend to look not as well made in person.
