Miley Cyrus returned to the music scene today when she released her new song, "We Can't Stop." The single is Miley's first solo offering since she released Can't Be Tamed in 2010, but she gave fans a taste of her new style earlier this year when she had a guest spot on Snoop Dogg's "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks." While it isn't a high-energy club song, it centers around a partying theme with lyrics that include a reference to shaking butts "like we're at a strip club."

Us Weekly reports that Miley and Liam have officially called off their engagement after nearly four months of back and forth about the status of their relationship. Just last week there were reports that Miley and Liam were back on after they were spotted showing PDA at a party in LA earlier this month. The couple got engaged back in June 2012 after dating on and off for over two years. Since January there have been tons of stories about the status of their rocky romance, but neither Liam nor Miley has officially commented on the status of their romance after this most recent round.

So far, 2013 has been a big fashion year for a certain Miley Cyrus. She's been photographed in Chanel, Valentino, and Balmain (pictured from left to right at a Ryan Seacrest event, the Maxim Hot 100 Party, and the Billboard Music Awards) and is well on her way to achieving that one thing every style icon has mastered: a signature look. She's recently skipped over the majority of the colour spectrum, instead gravitating toward black and white accented with a third colour by way of her red lips. It gets more specific, too: beyond loving the two-toned combo, Miley's showing a serious propensity for playsuits rather than more common red carpet dresses.

The singer's image has gotten sexier as she's moved past her Hannah Montana stage, and fashion-wise, her cropped 'do seemed to usher in a whole new era of envelope-pushing fashion. Whatever the case, we love that she's turned into a dresser to watch.

She wore a Valentino jumpsuit and flashed her bauble, which has been the subject of a lot of speculation after rumors surfaced in March that her relationship with Liam Hemsworth was on the rocks. Since the gossip began, Miley has been spotted not wearing her ring, and she ditched her bling when she attended the 2013 Met Gala earlier this month. However, she could have forgone the accessory in order to maintain her Marc Jacobs punk look, which featured several big rings.

Engagement rings aside, Miley has had a busy Spring so far. She earned the top spot on Maxim's Hot 100 list, which she celebrated by taking part in a sexy photo shoot. Miley is also focused on her upcoming new album and has been tweeting photos of herself in the recording studio. She also teased that she will make a "special announcement" at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday.

Miley Cyrus bares it all on the cover and inside Maxim's annual Hot 100 issue, in which she is named the hottest woman of the year. Miley was apparently so excited she leaked the news before Maxim even had the chance to. Five days before yesterday's official announcement, Miley joined Instagram and dedicated her first post to expressing her gratitude for being crowned No. 1 on Maxim's Hot 100 list.

Inside the issue, Miley said, "It feels amazing to be No. 1, especially because it was voted on by the fans. I have the best fans in the world!" She added, "It's every woman's fantasy to be told she's No. 1 on Maxim's Hot 100! So crazy!" Miley landed the top spot ahead of No. 4 Mila Kunis, No. 8 Kate Upton, and No. 14 Beyoncé Knowles. Maxim will host its annual Hot 100 party in LA next Wednesday, honoring Miley's new title.
