Spring 2009 is Matthew Williamson's final collection for Pucci before Peter Dundas takes over the creative healm. Williamson had originally been believed to be leaving to concentrate on his own label but the rumour mill suggests otherwise.
He presented the collection in Milan yesterday and it included some classic Pucci style prints (modeled by the amazing Jourdan Dunn) and plenty of bright colours.
Williamson looked to Capri, the birth place of Pucci, for inspiration for Spring 2009 creating one-pieces and glitzy dresses.
Although the line took inspiration from the heritage of Pucci, there was a distinct modernisation to the pieces which won't look out of place on his Ibiza friends. The updates came with plenty of glitter, jumpsuits and '80s style cropped jackets. Everybody was really left wondering what is next for Pucci and imagining what changes Dundas might make.

i kind of wish that we'd get to see matthew's own collection but i guess if the rumors are telling us otherwise, we'll have to wait and see what the seasons show us. i love pucci, and i've always been a fan of the vintage looks with the patterns and cuts that the house was known for and i like that no matter how the collections evolve, we still see traces of that.
1i really like the collection, its a fun look
