Much like the excitement over other cult beauty products like Nars' peachy-pink shimmer blusher in Orgasm or Shu Uemura's 24k gold eyelash curler, Urban Decay has it's own Midnight Cowboy Eye Shadow ((£11). It's a basic beige, champagne colour, which means it looks amazing on all skin tones, but what makes it stand out in the crowd are the sparkles. The shimmer in Midnight Cowboy isn't just light catching and glowy, it actually contains particles of silver glitter that transform your eye into one badass disco ball-esque work of art.

Based on it's popularity, Urban Decay launched a complimentary, intense glitter liner in the same colouring in March, and they are adding more goodies to the brood the first week of June! The launch includes a beige lipstick and a milk and honey scented shimmering body lotion. I'm especially excited to try the new, nudey lipstick, I just hope that it doesn't have the same funky smell and aftertaste as the old formula. What's your favourite cult beauty product?

I used to own the e/s (swapped it away), the color is gorgeous but it had too much glitter. Its a problem with a lot of UD shadows. And unless your in your 20's looking like a disco ball is not very flattering, imo.
1i love this eyeshadow. urban decay shadows are really pretty and glimmery but this color is my favorite because it's natural and makes my eyes look bright in contrast to nice dark mascara. the only gripe i have is that the glitter particles always fall under my eyes and make my dark circles worse, so i try to apply it and wipe at it with a tissue while turned to the side to get any excess off
2yeah i also wish UD did some non glittery products. i have a couple of palettes with different colours on. the natural colours are lovely for a more casual look, but they still glitter!
3Urban Decay does have a small selection of matte shadows (at least in the U.S.). I've never seen them in a palette, though.
4I love the glittery ones, and I have both the liner and the shadow pictured above. If used in moderation, it can highlight your eyes in a very pretty way (as opposed to the disco ball look). A little goes a long way!
