I've just heard that Michelle Obama's hairdresser, Rahni Flowers who won't move from Chicago to Washington DC for her. Oh well, it looks like her makeup artist and dear friend, Ingrid Grimes-Myles, will stick by her side no matter where she goes.
At yesterday's historic inauguration, Ingrid created a polished and demure look for Michelle's first official appearance as America's 44th first lady — and much like Michelle, the ceremony was spectacular.
Don't forget to check out even more coverage on the 2009 inauguration throughout the entire Sugar Network.
To find out what products Ingrid suggests to get Michelle's makeup look, read more.- FACE: Start off with a face primer to smooth out the skin. Ingrid likes Laura Geller's Spackle. Next apply a creamy, medium foundation such as Laura Geller Phenomenal Foundation in Deep and blend well. Then apply concealer under the eys and wherever there's any redness or discolouration. Finish by blending Paula Dorf Pressed Powder in Pecan all over the face and neck.
- CHEEKS: Next, try a raisin-coloured blush such as Paula Dorf Cheek Color in Sweet Cheeks. Follow with a touch of Laura Geller Bronze-N-Brighten to the temples, forehead, nose and chin.
- EYES: Ingrid recommends filling in the brows as a first step with something versatile like Model Co. EyeBrowz Designer Brow Kit. Then, sweep a bone-color over the base of the entire eye and follow by blending a deeper earth-toned shade like Model Co. ColourBox Eye Shadow in Portofino in the crease all the way into the lower lid. After the shadows are applied, line eyes with Laura Geller Eye Liner in Mocha and then go over the top lash line with black liner for more imapact. Lastly, apply two coats of black mascara.
- LIPS: Paula Dorf Lip Liner in Retro (mahogany) is a fabulous shade to apply all over the lips. Next, use a lip brush to spread Laura Geller Lip in Coral Chiffon evenly. Lastly, top off the look with Model Co. Disco Lights in Wow Pink for shine!

Post a CommentShe looked fantastic! And totally rocked the yellow formal tapestry dress!!
Graceful ~
Much as I love her, I really hated the dress. What was that weird ribbon hanging from her waist? And the gloves..a true mismatch.
She looked graceful nonetheless.
I love the make-up look, thanks for posting Bella!
