Leo's Star-Studded Auction Makes Millions For the Environment

Leonardo DiCaprio teamed up with Christie's to cohost the 11th Hour Auction in NYC last night.

Leonardo DiCaprio teamed up with Christie's to cohost the 11th Hour Auction in NYC last night. It was a successful event for Leo since the auction reportedly raised $35 million to benefit environmental and wildlife conservation efforts, almost doubling the goal of $18 million. He had the support of his longtime friend and Great Gatsby costar Tobey Maguire, who put in a winning bid on one of 33 pieces of contemporary art. Leo contributed something from his own art collection, a print called "Ocean V" by well-known photographer Andreas Gursky. Also out for the evening were Bradley Cooper, Mark Ruffalo, and Salma Hayek.

It was Leonardo's second art-inspired outing in as many days, since he also made an appearance at the Brant Foundation Art Study Center's Andy Warhol showing in Greenwich, CT, on Sunday. He'll be switching gears from art to film in the coming days, though, when he debuts The Great Gatsby in Cannes later this week.

The Avengers Take Europe as They Look Forward to a Super Opening Weekend

Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson, and Mark Ruffalo were at Rome's De Russie Hotel on Saturday for a stop on The Avengers press tour before the guys headed to Germany, sans Scarlett, for yet another photocall today. The foursome traveled abroad to promote the superhero movie all last week, kicking things off with an appearance in Moscow before moving onto London and then Italy together. The Marvel movie is expected to enjoy a big debut at the box office. Early reviews for The Avengers have been overwhelmingly positive and the movie is estimated to earn as much as The Dark Knight and The Hunger Games each did in their opening weekends. That could easily make The Avengers the biggest first-weekend earner among superhero movies to date when it hits theaters on May 4.

Scarlett, RDJ, and Their Superhero Crew Step Out For The Avengers Premiere

A Versace-clad Scarlett Johansson joined Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L.

A Versace-clad Scarlett Johansson joined Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, and several other big superhero names at last night's premiere of The Avengers at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. We were live on the red carpet, bringing you our interviews with the heroes of the new Marvel movie and capturing all the star-studded arrivals. The film's boldfaced cast also includes Mark Ruffalo, who had his lovely wife Sunrise Coigney on his arm at the debut, Tom Hiddleston, and Jeremy Renner, to name just a few. Stellan Skarsgård, who has a small role in the film, was also in attendance with his son Alexander Skarsgård close by.

On the carpet, Scarlett told us that if she had her character Black Widow's powers of interrogation, she'd probably use her skills to grill George Clooney for all his secrets. Meanwhile, new dad Robert Downey Jr., who was there with his wife Susan Downey, spoke about feeling great since the birth of their son Exton earlier this year. Stay tuned for today's PopSugar Rush to catch our interviews with Scarlett and RDJ, and for any others you may have missed!

The Avengers is one of the most anticipated movies of 2012, but the year's biggest box office hit — The Hunger Games — came up several times during the evening. Chris Hemsworth spoke about his little brother Liam Hemsworth's success with the blockbuster, and Jeremy Renner — whose character Hawkeye is an expert with the bow and arrow — told us he thinks he'd easily take Katniss in an archery competition.

Sarah Jessica Parker Gets Into the Winter Groove at UNICEF's Ball

Sarah Jessica Parker seemed to take the snow theme to heart last night when she attended UNICEF's Snowflake ball in a pouffy Louis Vuitton number.

Sarah Jessica Parker seemed to take the snow theme to heart last night when she attended UNICEF's Snowflake ball in a pouffy Louis Vuitton number. She attended the gala at Cipriani 42nd Street with other stars like Zoe Kravitz, Uma Thurman, Adrien Brody, and Mark Ruffalo. Zoe made the rounds inside while decked out in a Chanel ensemble that had feathery details just like SJP's.

Sarah Jessica and her family are home in the Big Apple again after spending Thanksgiving with Matthew's sister in New Jersey. SJP and Matthew attended a mass at Morristown's St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where his sister is a pastor. Their son, James Wilkie, had a lesson on the organ, then over 20 members of their extended family sat down to enjoy a 27-pound turkey!

Margaret Trailer: Anna Paquin Is Hot For Teacher Matt Damon

The Margaret trailer takes us back to 2005, the year the movie was filmed and its star Anna Paquin was still young enough to play a 17-year-old high school student.

The Margaret trailer takes us back to 2005, the year the movie was filmed and its star Anna Paquin was still young enough to play a 17-year-old high school student. After many delays, we're finally seeing the first footage of the Kenneth Lonergan film in which Paquin plays the emotionally torn title character, who battles feelings of guilt after a tragic bus accident leaves a woman dead.

Believing she is partly responsible for the death, Margaret begins to spiral out of control as she attempts to deal with her emotions. As if that isn't bad enough, the bus driver (Mark Ruffalo) gives her a tough time about her desire to come forward with the truth behind what really happened the day of the accident. She begins to crumble in some predictable ways, like letting her grades slip and pushing her family away, as well as some not so predictable ways, like an affair with her teacher, played by Matt Damon. Paquin seems to handle Margaret's dark, emotional journey beautifully, and I'm eager to see her on the big screen again and playing someone besides Sookie Stackhouse. Sympathy For Delicious Trailer: Mark Ruffalo Does Double Duty as Director and Priest

When Sympathy For Delicious premiered at last year's Sundance Film Festival, we got an early peek at the film, which is Mark Ruffalo's directorial debut.

When Sympathy For Delicious premiered at last year's Sundance Film Festival, we got an early peek at the film, which is Mark Ruffalo's directorial debut. In the movie, wheelchair-bound "Delicious" Dean O'Dwyer (Christopher Thornton) is a former DJ whose outlook and life have suffered since he's become paralyzed. When he discovers a unique ability to heal people with his hands, he teams up with a priest (Ruffalo) and pursues the path of faith healing, although he's unable to cure himself.

Unsatisfied with his new do-gooder status, Dean decides that he'd rather exploit his gift to become a rock star, a life in which he still doesn't find the gratification he's looking for. His bandmates offer us the opportunity to see more famous faces: Orlando Bloom is the lead singer, Juliette Lewis is the bassist, and Laura Linney is the manager. Though there's a ton of talent in the lineup, the movie wasn't my favorite at Sundance. Still, the trailer is worth checking out for Bloom in full rock star regalia. Watch it when you read more
