London Fashion Week, Autumn/Winter 2008: Nathan Jenden

Nathan Jenden has literally learnt (almost) everything he knows from the best, Diane Von Furstenberg. The DVF creative director presented his own collection as part of London Fashion Week, with Von Furstenberg sat in the front row admiring his work. He chose to show the medieval inspired collection at Shunt, which is just round the corner from the London Dungeons creating the perfect atmosphere.

Jenden's collection was the perfect balance of drama and realism with the clothes being impressively accessible. The shirts had bishop sleeves reminiscent of Tudor style but produced in modern fabrics making it instantly wearable. There was a beautiful gold dress with train that is sure to be seen on the red carpet at some point. The entire line included plenty of bustles, bows and Swarovski crystals. I am now yearning after the blue/black hooded cape.
