Stella McCartney presented her line for Adidas yesterday as part of London Fashion Week at the Royal Horticultural Halls. This show has become increasingly like a performance each season and Spring 2009 was no exception as Stella used olympic athletes to show the wearability of her clothes. What better way to prove the function of her sportswear than to test it?

Calling on the help of Olympic athletes cyclist Victoria Pendleton, runner Allyson Felix and gymnast Beth Tweddle they wore the clothes for gymnastics and tennis. Stella explained, "I wanted to design a range for girls to look good whether they're running, doing yoga or in the gym, and adidas, with all their experience, is the perfect partner to do that". The tennis range (above) is Stella's favourite as she describes it as being a bit 'saucy'. It includes short dresses with cut-out floral detail, short skirts and cropped trousers with popper detailing. It's almost enough to make me want to play sport!
