Today in London, Kate Middleton's waxwork was unveiled at Madame Tussauds complete with the Issa dress she wore for her engagement announcement back in November 2010. Being a Duchess and all, Kate's not merely having just one wax figure, oh no. Four likenesses are popping up all over the world! Temperley London has dressed the Amsterdam figure in the custom made black lace gown the Duchess wore to the War Horse premiere in January.
Each of the four waxworks is draped in a special outfit linked to a memorable Royal event, with New York and Blackpool figures donning Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham respectively. Both the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William were kept informed as work progressed on the models, each of which took four months to create and cost £150,000. I think the likenesses are pretty impressive, what do you make of them? Stay tuned for the rest of the waxworks, and take a look at the Issa and Temperley London editions here!
